Hey hi guys, This is Prasanth Gupta (Instagram I'd: @Solo_travelleer ) I want to explain now regarding Bhimavaram town The main deity was Sri Mavullamma varu. Coming to history : In the year 1880 Goddess Sri Mavullamma ammavaru was first sighted at a place where the holy neem and Peepal trees rose in unison, in Motipalli street of Bhimavaram. But the precious tree in the mango garden so the goddess got named as Mamillamma.The other name to the goddess In the year 1910 Bhimavaram Town got affected with floods during the floods the Mulavirat (Main deity) got partially damaged they took 10 years to prepare the existing idol. They started a new idol that came with ferociousness.But the People thought instead of making a new idol they celebrate tirdam in the month of completed (Zysta masam). Main festivals : 1) Zysta masa Tirdam main attraction was goddess well decorated with Golden sare with Diamond ornaments. 2) Dusshera Navaratri was celebrated high 3)In ashada masam the goddess will decorate with Vegetables called Sakambari devi as Utsavas celebrated. Temple Timings Dialy : Morning :- 05:00 AM to 12:00 PM Evening :- 04:00 PM to 09:00 PM Dialy Pooja list :- Vehicle Pooja ( 2 wheeler ) - 100/- Vehicle Pooja (Cycle) - 10/- Sahasranam Archana - 50/- Monthly daily pooja - 50/- Yearly daily pooja - 1000/- Ghatam - 10/- Vapasu Saree - 20/- Tulabharam - 50/- Chandi homam - 700/- Life time pooja - 2116/- Prasadam details :- 1) Laddu ( Thokudu laddu) 2)Pulihora 3) Wada,etc.. Journey helpline :- 1) Buses are available from various major cities. 2) Train facility access from Hyderabad, Vijayawada and visakhapatnam. 3) The nearest airports were Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Visakhapatnam. 4) Can use our own vehicles. The town was big and developed we can get all the facilities here regarding accommodation or food. The temple staff was friendly and gave suggestions for useful tips. In and around the temple there are a large number of Pooja Stores and shops We can book required tickets in advance through APtemples website but not mandatory. There is a bit difficult to find the parking near the temple. 😍 Jai bhavani Jai Jai bhavani 🙏🏻

Mavullamma Temple is an ancient temple located in Bhimavaram, West Godavari district.Mavullamma is the Gramadevata and purnas says that Mavullamma idol appearance in the year 1200 AD but the writing on the marble in temple says 1880 AD. As per the mythology, Goddess Mavullamma appeared in the dream of Marella Machiraju and Grandhi Appana and revealed her location. As directed by the goddess, the two devotees removed the sand and found the Idol in the mango farm. Marella Machiraju and Grandhi Appana built the temple for the Goddess in the year 1880 AD. As the goddess was found in a Mango farming land the Goddess was called as Mamillamma, later as Mavullamma.
