Stayed here between 30/4 and 4/5-2025. We were 35 persons travelling together for the European Barbershop Convent. Around 15 of us stayed at this hotel. It was a good service to begin with, taking care of luggage for free before we could check in. After that, it's not good at all. When all three of us who shared a room arrived, I asked for the discount since I 'm a Stawberry member. The answer was No, this has to be applied online. I explained that another of us made the reservation, but that didn't help. (We decided since we are three, not to have daily cleaning, only change of towels due to the logistics with all our stuff. ) When they then saw that the reserver had her birthday the day after I, in my mind, thought, "Well, maybe they will give a treat to our room," but nothing. I asked about the opening hours for the pool, and they told me that it wasn't a pool but a spa and we would have to pay 123 SEK per hour to use it. What!! 10000 SEK for three persons sharing a room, and we have to pay for using the "pool." Coming to the room, two of the cards were not working, and we had to change them. The room certainly was not adapted to three persons. We were disappointed. There was no window we could open, and we had to stow away things to be able to move around. The first day, I complained about the toilet that was constantly flushing. They did nothing. The shower door lacked a seal, which made the water flow out on the floor. We couldn't adjust the aircond. 22.1°C with three people and no way to open a window is just no way to breathe properly. The room had no view but some roofs and another floor of the hotel, which made us have to have the curtains shut all the time and light on all day. The cards for the room constantly went useless, and when updating one card, the other cards stopped working. The three of us didn't always spend time together, so this was very frustrating. I think we spent 12 cards or more in these 4 nights. During the stay, we got informed by the others that they had bigger rooms for two persons, three persons sharing had even a balcony. I will not come back to this hotel ever again, no matter how good the breakfast was. A nice shell and a good location are not enough. Overpriced hotel with no feeling or heart. Extreemly expensive rooms for the season and with nothing extra except for the free breakfast that every hotel has anyway. Nothing at the hotel compensated for the bad experience we had. Not even the...
Read moreJust back from an excellent stay at Clarion Sea U in Helsingborg. This hotel is perfectly situated in a prime location, right in the middle of the city near the ferry terminal and train station with gorgeous views of the sea and Helsingör in Denmark beyond.
I’ve stayed at a few other hotels in Helsingborg and Clarion Hotel Sea U is easily the best so far. It ticked all the boxes I have come to expect when staying at a modern, Scandinavian hotel.
One of the standout features of my stay was the beautiful room which was elegantly decorated with a modern touch, and a stunning sea view from a surprisingly large balcony. My room (#509) was spacious, comfortable and equipped with all the amenities needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Only thing missing was some art on the walls. There was a really nice art exhibit with a surf theme down in the lobby during my stay. So maybe the hotel will use some of those photographs to decorate the rooms with...
The reception and restaurant team at Sea U was extremely friendly, professional and always ready to help out with whatever I needed.
As somewhat of a foodie, I was pleased to learn that Clarion Sea U has three restaurants and bars, each offering a unique dining and drinking experience. So, whether I was in the mood for a casual drink or a gourmet meal, I loved having plenty to choose from.
I ate a delicious teriyaki salmon dish for lunch in the Living Room restaurant and then an equally memorable dinner at the hotel's rooftop bar – simply named "Rooftop Bar” and located on the 8th floor. This turned out to be a very good choice as it offered both a laid back atmosphere and amazing city & sea views in every direction.
With its prime location, beautiful rooms, delicious food, rooftop bar and a really spacious lounge, open to all and frequently used for both unwinding and co-working, it's no wonder this hotel has become Helsingborg's most popular location for locals and visitors alike.
I highly recommend Clarion Hotel Sea U to anyone looking for a relaxed, memorable stay in...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend visited the hotel 2021-04-24. The hotel itself was really nice and fresh and the room was small but still quite fresh.
The glasses they left for drinks, were dirty though (which we told the staff).
We paid extra money to have "Front Sea View" (which it also says on the receipt) which for us, means that we should have one of the rooms facing straight towards the sea.
This however was not Clarions interpretation it seems. Instead we got a room facing the harbor. We told one of the staffmembers but he just kind of received our complaint and didn't say much at all about the whole thing.
Sure, one could argue that it indeed was "sea view", but this was a sideview over the harbor. Not "Sea Front".
The rooftop bar was nice but the whole "Front Sea View" thing really ruined this trip for us.
A tip for Clarion Sea U would be to change the "Front Sea View" to accurately reflect what the customer actually is paying for. Is it really the frontside towards the ocean, or is it a sideview? we would never pay extra for the room we got, i we had gotten information telling the truth about the view.
We will never spend money there again since we feel that we got played. Paying extra for something that we didn't get.
During checkout we found it kind of weird that we didn't get any question at all about our stay. Normally when we check out face to face, the staff asks if the stay has been pleasant. This was not a big thing, but on top of everything else, this was kind of annoying as well.
That said, as Nordic Choice Hotels silver members, we would simply...
