Wow. 5+. Why? satisfaction guarantee. From young children to the elderly. It should be noted the very friendly staff of the museum and the cafe in it. It was very pleasant to communicate. (Thank you). The museum is very well thought out. In addition to historical artifacts, there are dynamic exhibits (the effect of the presence of diving to the bottom of the sea at the shipwreck site) and videos. In one of the panoramas, there is the effect of a personal presence on board a sunken ship, among sailors and guns. For children, there is a playroom, a play attraction "take part in the excavation at the bottom of the sea", there is a place for the care of infants. Excellent exhibition - art gallery. Be sure to visit the cafeteria. Delicious. In the presence of an all-inclusive buffet. You will definitely spend a few hours wonderfully and linger in the beautiful interior of the cafe. Everything is very harmonious in it. And therefore I did not leave without a souvenir. Bought from a lovely lady cashier in the foyer at the entrance. The booklet about the museum that she offered at the entrance is very appropriate. Audio clips about the exhibits in the museum are numbered both on the exhibits and on the Internet, and they are very easy to open with a QR code. And then listen while looking at...
Read moreIt’s a kids museum. Don’t come here excepting adult stuff. And it’s based on the “Krönan” ship reck.
My daughter really enjoyed the children’s play room. A very hands on playroom, where you could touch everything. The playroom was fairly big and it occupied an entire floor. And everything was in operating order.
In terms of the rest of the museum. One floor is devoted to the recovery of the ship, the Kronan, and included a nice guided tour.
The museum cafe was decent and it meet our needs. Fairly quick. Staff was nice. Food was good.
This is a kid oriented museum and would recommend...
Read moreUnfortunately, like a lot of historical sites in this part of Sweden, this museum just felt like it was lacking a lot. I thought the entrance fee was really pricey for the experience itself. There was very little history about the town and region of Kalmar, the only artefacts being based purely on a single shipwreck from the 17th century. Most of the museum felt catered towards young children, though I doubt most young children have much of an interest for this kind of history. Layout was kind of confusing and difficult to follow. It wasn’t terrible, but I would not recommend it,...
