I am not into th e habit of writing comments , I pefer keeping my opinions to myself .However for foxtown I will make an exeption so as to put the debate about this mall to rest !!!!
To begin, I must mention that I have been to quite a few of the outlet malls around the world , with no exeption they all function with the same concept and they have the same strategy . Shops will show at the forefront of all items that will get the maximum cash out of your pockets and thats why if you would go shopping in f.t u'll definately find the items in the vetrine often at a higher price ! Yes they are discounted but % of discount is much less . However the further you move to the back of the shop the higher the discount of the item and the older is the item's style (items are not out of fashion the style is 2-3 months back ) .
What clever stores do often is that while showcasing items with the least discount or with v.High price at the front , they compensate that with some offers , like buy any 3 get an addotional 25 on all , or last piece 50% or lucky size 60% off on outlet price and again they would advertise this everywhere in the store!
Foxtown is NO stranger to the previous scene , however what would put it in a very strong competitive position with other outlets , especially seravale , is the variety , it manages to catter to ..it significantly catter's to extremes of taste and budget extremes .What ever yr budget is u will find something that is there for u , however dont expect that Burberry suite costing 700€ or 900€ in retail would be there for 10€ , this doesnt happen even in the U.S where stores addmitt that price is the only strategy for competition !!!!!!

Read moreWe come here once a year, usually after a vacation in Italy. When it started many years ago, this outlet mall was pretty empty and deserted, not having many deals.
But boy did it change over the years. Now it's a place we really wouldn't wanna miss. There are the usual big brands, but they do have heavy discounts. You gotta get lucky though and bring enough time with. Sometimes we hoped for some nice clothes of a certain brand, but ended up emtpy-handed. But then again you can find some good stuff at another brand.
We really enjoy the "Gant" and the "Ralph Lauren / Polo" shops a lot. Great shirts and sweaters for fall and spring. But also heavy sweaters from Gant for the really cold season. Usually around 40 CHF (instead of 140 CHF in regular stores). They really have heavy discounts, but not big amounts of clothes. You gotta be quick and lucky that day. Also Tommy Hilfiger has some good stuff sometimes.
But alone for these two, three brands it's really worth a visit. You'll spend a lot, but save even more. And the quality is high. I wear them for years and the colors do not wash out nor do the clothes wear out. This place here gets most of my money of my yearly clothing budget. Highly recommended!
If there's a downside, it's the fact that dogs are not allowed. Which is unusal for Switzerland. Not in the stores I would understand, but you can't even get inside the building with...
Read moreOne of the best outlets that I have ever been in my life. We came here from Lugano by train it's only 20 minutes. They have big brands like Gucci, Prada, Versace, D&G, La perla BUT not all of them are "outlets". For example LA perla had only 2 bras for sale rest were regular collection. Same with Gucci half of their boutique it's a new collection. I highly recommend PRADA they have good jackets and shoes. Also cosmetics store is very good I managed to find good deal for Valmont products. We managed to find a very nice trousers for my husband at DG. Also many other cute stores like Pinko, Flavio Castellani and etc.
NOTE- If you want to do VAT refund be aware that they don't do it in other European countries since Swiss is not a Europe. We went to VAT refund and guy lied to us at the cashier even after hearing we will fly out from Malpensa back to US. He still fill the paper and took 5eur commission for each of us. When I was flying from Malpensa they weren't able to stamp it. and of course in few week my card was charged back for cash he gave me in FOX TOWN VAT refund. Also I don't know how they calculate but amount is always less because of their extra fees!
ALSO good tip make sure you will eat before 2 pm otherwise everything will be closed! We weren't aware of that even shopping malls that "ridiculous food hours" We got lucky to find some chicken place that one only...
