Well worth a visit. Entry fee is really minimal. CHF 15 for adults. Amazing to see the military aircraft’s forming part of history. Well showcased. The museum is all undercover (so indoors ), ideal for rainy days if you want to get out a bit. I would put aside around 3 hours to get through all the halls of displays. Write ups and explanations are in German , if you do not understand German take your mobile phone and use Google translate. There is a restaurant attached to the museum. Staff are very friendly and the menu has a good choice of food for all pallets. There is an outdoor seating area and an indoor seating area. I would recommend booking a table if you visit on a Saturday during lunchtime and if it is in the school holidays. There is sufficient parking available if you are travelling by car and if you are using public transport the museum is only about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The are toilets onsite and also an area to hang jackets if you don’t feel like walking around with your jackets. There are also lockers available should you wish to store items while touring the museum.

Amazing museum. I went here today at the recommendation of a very good friend of mine who grew up in Dubendorf. What a great museum. I really enjoyed all the planes and helicopters going way back into the deep Swiss history of aviation. What I really enjoyed as all the information on the radar and missile defense systems in Switzerland (specifically the Alps). The staff was very friendly. Nice cafe and restaurant as well. Museum is about a 30 minute bus right from Zurich Airport. Easy. Hop on bus 759 and go to Dubendorf Nord Bahnhof. It is about a 5-6 min walk from the bus stop. Thank you for the recommendation, Patrick!!

Spent the afternoon here, was a great museum of old military aircraft, 3 hangars full. Have to say, very nicely layed out and easy to get around, spacious and open areas to see airplanes from wood and fabric to fighter jet made of metal and piston engines. Very interesting, what was made by humans engines and planes with no panels and pieces missing to show the design and what was inside. Information with detailed descriptions and dates for all the latest exhibits, from Hunters, Fokker, DeHavilands to Phantoms and more. Great for anyone who is interested in aircraft or military, great stuf, recommend it!!!

Well maintained museum with a wide array of Swiss aircraft, to include once that you wouldn't expect to see in Swiss Livery - a P-51 and a Bf-109. They also have some experimental Swiss jets in the second hangar. The exhibition signs are in German. The museum gets high praise for an accessible balcony area in both of the main hangars, so you can overlook the aircraft. The museum gets dinged a star because there are parts that require a guide to go through with prior coordination, and another section that is only open from 1430-1530 on certain days. Neither of which is stated on the website.

Get off at the Dubendorf train station then walk the 7 minutes to the museum. There are a lot of aircraft in this museum and all are nicely restored. Placards are only in a German, but you can still figure our the manufacturer and model of aircraft. The reception was very helpful and explained the layout of the museum in English and had a nice conversation with one of the museum people about planes. This is a better museum than the tram museum in Zurich. 15 fr. per adult.

Seriously cool collection, very expansive selection of planes, communications and logistics equipment, weaponry, and more. Unfortunately, the simulator was closed when I was there, but still great. Brush up on your German if not a native speaker, no English informational cards for the featured exhibits anywhere. Also a gift shop with reasonably priced goods and some 500 CHF bomber jackets. They also have a FlightRadar24 set up on a big screen you can explore.
