Jungfrau Ski Region - Kleine Scheidegg - Männlichen - Wengen — Attraction in Grindelwald

The ski area is great, like many others around Switzerland. However, if we look at how the client is treated, 1 star is even too much. We booked our skipass online, but when we got to the resort, all lifts but 1 (Arven, a small chairlift) were closed due to poor weather conditions. We asked for a refund at the resort ticket counter, but we were told to contact the online customer service as the skipass had been bought online. When we contacted the customer service, we were told that we would not get any refund, because the closure was only partial (1 lift out of many was left open). It looked quite clear to us that leaving that one lift open was only a way to justify this "partial" closure, as reaching that lift was basically impossible in those conditions. Terrible experience! With all the nice ski resorts that Switzerland has, for sure we will not come back to Grindelwald-Wengen and...

This ski region is overall very nice, I booked a hotel near the Gondola at the Eiger Lodge in Grindelwald and it was very practical, you can access the entire Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen area but First is a little further in the city. However, the prices are expensive (76 CHF for a full day of ski and half price for kids) but are certainly worth the incredible views of the Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch. Sadly, some of the hikes are very close to the ski slopes so you gotta traverse them and it was quite annoying. The ski slopes are not really for beginners as it starts from blue ; not from green. The easier slopes are on the Männlichen area. There aren’t many people when I came (Feb. 15-22). Great ski area at the bottom of tree main peaks of Jungfrau region (Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger) with spectacular view of them.
