Hello! There are several reasons why you are receiving a one-star rating. Starting with the unprofessional attitude of the employees, rudeness, and lack of respect, continuing with major issues with the scanning system for the new tickets, and finally, the most serious aspect, an act of physical aggression by the lady in the picture. She certainly has serious behavioral problems, but I would have never thought that in civilized Switzerland, I would be pushed by one of your employees. This has never happened to me in any other country in the world. Even if I had made a mistake, that still would not have given her the right to assault me. I mention that I submitted a complaint to you, but you have not responded. I informed you that I will file a police report, especially because there are surveillance cameras that can show what happened. Brief context: from Murren to Stechelberg, you pay for two trips (Murren - Gimmelwald and Gimmelwald - Stechelberg). When I took the first trip, I realized I had left something at the station and stayed in the cable car. Since I had only used the first trip, I didn't get off because I still had one trip available. At that moment, your employee became aggressive and pushed me. She called her supervisor, who eventually agreed that we were right. Murren is a wonderful place, but it’s worth avoiding some of the cable...
Read moreExcellent day out for half the price of Jungfraujoch and equally good views. I highly recommend buying tickets online in advance so you can head directly to the turnstile.
Adding the all-you-can-eat-and-drink brunch buffet (for 90mins) for an additional 23 francs is a bargain (131 francs total). Do this when you buy online as others said it wasn't available at the ticket desk. Incredible views from the revolving restaurant. I booked a table in advance (easily done online) for 11am and it was perfect timing as I was finishing up as the lunchtime rush began and was seated directly next to the window. Food was decent (hot and cold), frequently refreshed, coffees, juices and prosecco included.
The included exhibit on the James Bond film that was made here is interesting, even if you are not a 007 enthusiast. It's worth stopping at Birg on the way down for the Jungfrau viewing terrace and the thrill walk (free).
They are currently constructing a new cable car "planning for the future", completion data tbc "20XX". While there are cranes and construction workers around it didn't ruin the experience or any photos for me. If anything it was interesting to observe and consider how they build this...
Read moreWe took the Schilthornbahn cable car from Stechelberg in Lauterbrunnen, and the entire journey to Schilthorn was absolutely breathtaking. Traveling with family and kids, this ride turned out to be one of the most memorable highlights of our Switzerland trip.
The scenic views throughout the ascent were simply spectacular — towering snow-covered peaks, lush green valleys, and charming mountain villages. It felt like nature was welcoming us with open arms. The cable car ticket cost was around €65 per person, and the experience was worth every euro.
There are multiple stops along the way with incredible photo spots and panoramic views that are just perfect for making beautiful memories.
If you’re planning a trip to Switzerland, add Schilthorn to your itinerary without a second thought. It’s an unforgettable experience filled with natural beauty...
