If you walk from the train station in Lyss you will need about 20-25 minutes to reach the tower. It was built in 2009 to celebrate the city's 1000th anniversary. The tower is about 40 meters high and if you are not in a good shape it will take you from 5 to 10 minutes to reach the top. On a clear day you will be able to see Biel and some mountains (there are maps there showing you the different names so you know what you are looking at).

Den sogenannten Lysserturm( Höhe ca.40 m.) kannte ich bis jetzt nur vom hörensagen. Der Weg zum Turm ist gut beschildert und es hat genĂŒgend ParkplĂ€tze.( blaue Zone. ) Zum laufen kommt man kaum, denn in bereits ca 5 bis 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuss dort. Man hat dann einen wundervollen Ausblick auf Lyss, auf die Jurakette und die immer wieder faszinierende Natur. Ich fands toll..😊🍀

A breath of fresh air and the view to the swiss mountains. Highly recommended for sunrise and sunset times. Relax by listening the wind and the birds. It's absolutely my favourite place in Lyss. Awesome tower of massive wood and some iron. Swiss made and an indicator that many good people...

Wow eine tolle 360° Aussicht vom Lysser Turm. Auf der Aussichtsplattform hat es 2 BĂ€nkli zum verweilen, schön. Unten am Turm sind BĂ€nke und Tische zum Picknicken. An der Sonnhalde sind mehrere ParkplĂ€tze, Parkstreifen (wichtig Parkscheibe). Vom Ende der Sonnhalde erreicht man den Turm (Wegweiser) in 5 bis 10 min. Auch an der Sonnhalde 200m unterhalb des Turms sind noch 2 Grillstellen (kein Holz vorhanden). Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Empfehlenswert den Lysser Turm zu besuchen. P.s. FĂŒr Menschen mit Höhenangst und nicht Schwindelfreie ist der Aufstieg eine wahre Herausforderung, da das Treppenhaus offen ist und die Stufen aus Stahlgitter...
