We drove past and dtopped by chance and are glad we did. Although there was little in the way of explaination it is a small town created in the remains of an old fort. There are some lovely little walks including some steep climbs with beautiful views. I could have stayed a long time exploring. It is free to go up the tower. It was strangley quiet, almost like a gjost town but maybe that is because we arrived about 11:30.

The view from the top of the fort was well worth the hike. We parked at the bottom in the village and hiked up the hill to the old town and fort. The climb inside the fort is a bit ‘hairy’ and will test your nerve, but it is worth it. The view is spectacular! There are toilets and somewhere to eat in the town at the top - there is also a car park but I must admit, I preferred the walk.
