Located just steps away from Berggasthaus Aescher, the Aescher Aussichtspunkt offers one of the most iconic views in the Alpstein region. The viewpoint overlooks a deep alpine valley with dramatic cliff faces and rolling green pastures—absolutely breathtaking. From this angle, you can also take in the unique setting of Aescher hut, built snugly against the vertical rock wall.

We stopped here on our descent from Ebenalp, and the view is as stunning in person as it looks in postcards. It’s the perfect spot for photos—especially with the hut in the frame and layers of Swiss mountains behind.
