was in Zurich for a 7 hour transit and decided to take a walk over purely based off internet recommendations. I was there pretty early in the morning, at about 9am and the place was quiet and peaceful with a handful of children and joggers.
no events happening when I was there, just a wonderful view and lil duckies. a swan was hanging out in the area with a bunch of ravens too. I didn’t explore much beyond the immediate vicinity of the lake but the walk over was lovely and so was the park.

Suitable for couples, groups and families. Also very child friendly . Twice a year there's a festival takes place on the landmark which is full of colour, shows, street food, drinks and so on. Read moreLarge free garden area with annexed artificial island. Used for barbecues and picnics. Busy during hot days, with old big trees and the lake for cooling. Public transports are at approximately 7-8min walk. The closest shop is the convenience store in the petrol station nearby. For these reasons regulars are mostly younger people.
