One of the best Zoo I ever went. It’s so big and you can see lots of interesting animals. It’s a really immersive experience as some places don’t have a fence so animals can come to you and stand by your side! The Zoo has been split into different sections and each zone has been decorated in local characteristics where animals would habitat. I went on weekday afternoon without purchasing ticket in advance and be able to enter straightaway. Some animals only can be seen/open certain times, for example Koala is 10am. Some shows/feeds are also conducted certain time. So make sure you check the time if you want to see specific animals. You can easily spend a whole day here and have a really good time.

Das Tropenhaus des Zoo Zürich ist wirklich wunderschön gestaltet, gepflegt wie sauber und bietet einige schöne Pfade zum Spazieren. Es gibt immer was zu entdecken, man muss einfach sich die Zeit nehmen und beobachten. Er mag nicht riesig sein, muss es auch nicht. Der Hauptweg bis zum Restaurant ist für Kinderwagen/Rollstuhl o. A. geeignet. Der Weg "nach oben" oder andere, eher versteckte Wege, sind nicht für "unmobile" Gäste geeignet. Im Inneren fühlt man sich wohl, es ist entsprechend heiss und die Luftffeuchtigkeit hoch, und die Tiere scheinen sich sichtlich wohl zu fühlen und haben immer ausreichend Möglichkeit, sich zurückzuziehen und verbergen. Die Anlage hat einen wunderschönen Wasserfall und am Restaurant gibt es einen Teich für gefiederte Gäste. Das Selbstbedienungsrestaurant bietet eine gute Auswahl an fester und flüssiger Nahrung - und hat vorallem die madagassische Spezialitäten angesprochen. Das Curry (ohne Erdnuss) sowie auch das Geschnetzeltes nach Züri-Art, die Dessertmousses usw. haben uns ausgesprochen gemundet. Wir werden das Restaurant sicherlich, wie auch die Anlage, erneut besuchen kommen. Vermutlich aber erst, wenn die Kids bisschen grösser sind und sich selbst fortbewegen können 😉😁👍 neben dem Restaurant hat es auch eine grosse WC-Anlage, ein Verkaufsladen und der ÖV ist direkt im Gebäude angebunden.

It's definitely worth the visit, high standards when it comes to infrastructure, not only for the visitors but also for the animals. Usually, when you visit a zoo, you kinda feel bad for the animals not having enough space, and the animals seem to be stressed. But at Zurich Zoo, you really see that everything is focused on the well-being of the animals. There's so much to see, and everything is so nicely maintained.

It was kind of a warm up visit for my trip to Indonesia in 2 weeks. I literally could smell the humid rain forest the way it smells in the Southeast Asian country. It's a great opportunity for anybody qho has never been to a rain forest or can't go to a real one. Well done guys! Oh by the way you can watch real geckos and chameleons in there.

I have visited Masoala a couple of years ago, when one of my friend got married. I was really impressed. The park is amazing, very nice for children with many attractions, activities and animals. The wedding organizers told us interesting things about the animals over there. Anyway I would recommend it for a chill rest day.

It’s like stepping into another world! Huge tropical house with birds, lizards, waterfowl, all free to enjoy the whole space. Very warm and humid inside, especially at the top canopy walkway, but worth the steps and heat for the amazing perspective on the jungle below. Don’t miss it!
