This Table land is the first and foremost important site seeing place of Panchgani. There are total five table lands here and all together called as table land. there are five hence this village name is derived as Panchgani. Pancha means Five and Gani is Sanskrit word which means plane land in front of home. This is Second largest mountain plateau in Asia, First one is located in Tibet. This table land is at an elevation of 4550 feet above sea level which is the highest point of Panchgani. This table land is spread across 95 acres area. This land is flat and large, offering clear views of the entire region, its valleys, and hills with no obstructions. This land is very vast and exploring by walk is not possible. Secondly due to tourist attraction, they are not allowed personal vehicles here. So only option available is going on Horse ride or Tonga. Rates are bit high here. If you are good in bargaining then you will get at right prices. Tonga people will take you through out the land surrounding area and showcase the tourist spots. There are total five tourists spots here which are main points to cover during your horse riding.

Devil's Kitchen: Which is the area where Pancha Pandavas were had kitchen during their Vanavas. Shooting Point: This is the point which is famous for shooting and most of the Bollywood pictures shooting was happened here. Some of them are Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Mela, Raja Hindustani. Pandava's Foot Print: There are Foot prints on rocks, which are believed to be belongs to Pandavas. Local people will have pooja and prayer here during Dashara and Diwali time. One tree Point: This is far away spot where there is only one tree on Rock. which is also again famous for shooting. Raja Hindustani kissing scene was shot at this place. One wondrous thing about the plateau is that despite fertile soil, nothing ever seems to grow here, except a lone tree. Hence this place become tourist place. Valley Point: This is the point from where one can enjoy beauty of Panchgani Valley. There are many boarding schools in Panchgani due to which this Village is called as Education Hub. Interesting fact is since it is educational hub there are no Movie theaters in...

Table Land in Panchgani is one of my all-time favourite places to visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone exploring the Mahabaleshwar region. Here’s why: Stunning Scenic Beauty This widespread plateau is the perfect spot to take in breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The sunsets here are mesmerizing, offering a serene experience for nature lovers. Film Shooting Location Many movies have been shot here, and it’s easy to see why. The wide, open space makes for an excellent backdrop, adding a cinematic vibe to the area. Horse Riding For adventure enthusiasts or those just looking for a fun activity, horse riding is available, and it’s a great way to explore the plateau. Points of Interest There are about 7-10 points around the area that provide unique and picturesque views. Each point offers something different, making it a delight for photographers and travelers alike. Underground Temple A hidden gem of this place is the underground temple, which adds a touch of spirituality to the visit. It’s fascinating and worth exploring. Playful Monkeys You’ll encounter a lot of monkeys around the area, which adds a bit of charm (though it’s best to stay cautious with your belongings).

Conclusion Table Land is a must-visit destination in Panchgani. Whether you are a nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply someone looking for a peaceful retreat, this place has something for everyone. It’s well-maintained, easy to access, and offers an unforgettable experience.

✅ Recommendation: Definitely visit Table Land if you are in or around Panchgani. You...

One stop place for loosing money indefinitely. First you pay road tax to enter to into panchagani, then you can meet the real thieves. Parking guys. They tell you the only way to get to the tableland base camp(an open piece of land from where you cannot return on foot) is with horses and they will tell you the charges after you reach the base camp. There you can make a choice to either do a small ride covering 4 nearby spots or a really big ride covering 7 8 NEARBY spots. Charges were 840/- and 1680/- respectively. They deceive you in any manner possible so that you will take big ride. They even offer discount if you speak marathi. Thankfully we have with us one. They charged 1200/- per horse and believe me, its all worthless if you have had an experience of horse ride before. Except two caves (separately charges 10/- pp to enter) and an even worthless spot called one tree point (only tree on tableland, don't know whats so special about it), you will wonder where other spots passed by. Horse guides will tell you DATA about shooting spots which I personally found worthless again. Boom your trip ends at cave 2. Thanks horse guides for spoiling my camera lens which they touched carelessly. I found mud on it. You have to have to pay cash they will say 100 times that cards are accepted but don't get sold. You have to go to a shop very far only to find that the shopkeeper is out so you have to withdraw cash from ATM. Taxes you know. Thats it guys. Hope you find it usefull. My advice is to prefer this place only if you have a lot of money and time or you want to have a...

Table Land is a vast expanse of flat laterite rock surrounded by hills hence the name Table Land. There are five. Plateau in Panchgani . The. Name of Panchgani comes from this five plateau. This volcanic plateau is Asia's second longest mountain plateau after the Tibetan plateau, and among the must-visit places as part of Panchgani tour packages. This place offers an aerial view of the entire Panchgani and nearby valleys. These naturally flattened hills are a good attraction for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The place also has several activities like horse riding, merry-go-rounds, mini trains, food stalls, and a couple of game counters. Owing to its elevation, the place also offers an aerial view of the Rajpuri Caves and Devil's Kitchen. Table Land is a popular Bollywood shooting spot. Many movies like Raja Hindustani, Mela, Taare Zameen Par, and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam are shot at this place. It is just walkable from the main Panchgani Market, but even though there is a proper motorable road, it is a steep climb. It is better to drive up to the Table Land, where there is ample place to park the vehicles. Request tables land maintenance team to provide clean washrooms and toilets in table land. For the tourists benefit. This basic facility to be provided in in tourist place to improve quality tourism. This is very beautiful view point , I reduced 1 star due to unhealthy and dirty washrooms without proper maintenance
