It's a nice place to onjoy some sand, sun and water. However as previously stated by others, there is quite a lot of garbage everywhere, half of the beach is covered by the umbrellas or tractors pulling or pushing jetskis (you are not safe to swim out there, they'll run you over) and if you cannot speak Chinese, i can imagine how annoying the sales people could be. Plus, ATVs are not allowed on the beach in the National Park, haha, best joke ever... For sun and sand, head to the right side of the beach. For snorkeling head to Wanlitong instead...
Also, no public showers, seriously. You have to pay 50 NT$ for a frickin'...
Read moreWalked by yesterday to check out the beach as we had just arrived. With all the pictures we saw on google, we had high hopes. But when I saw it yesterday, I was utterly disappointed. It was extremely crowded. The beach was so dirty, filled with lots of garbages. People have no sense of sidewalks, they park all over the sidewalks and you’re left walking on the side of the road, but the cars drive super fast. The salesman at the beach are extremely aggressive.
If you’re from North America, save your time and skip the place, way better beaches at Caribbean.

Oh my god, am I play Dead Rising or Left 4 Dead in real life? Seriously, they are like invincible zombies chasing you. When I leave the area, waiting for public transport, taxi drivers stop their taxi around you, bug you for taking taxi , even ask you to give them your bus ticket so that you can take their taxi instead of taking bus.
