I visited the park in October and in the couldy weather outside main season, the atmosphere felt sad and empty. Few people wandered around, I tried almost all the atractions and I was alone on many of them. The park looks quite old and would use some renovating or redecorating. The language if Chinese, don’t hope for English too much, but if you need something, they will try or find an elnglish-speaking colleague to help you. The main dissapontment for me was that the park is quite small and very childish. If you don’t have any children with you, you will be probably bored very quickly. I managed to see whole park and try all rides in less than 2 hours. Most of the rides are short and not exciting. The only two that made my hearth beat faster were the swinging boat and “scary” pirate ride. After that I was just waiting for the shows. The shows. I liked them, even thought they were quite short and big part of them is just people talking Chinese. I would be happy for few sentences in English, maybe as subtitles on screen like on Dolphin show. Sumarised: Quite nice for a family with small children, quite educational if you speak Chinese. Other than that, not worth the...
Read moreGreat for small and big kids. A variety of theme park rides with varying height restrictions. The small roller coaster is good for kids and adults that get motion sick. Various scheduled shows throughout the day. The mermaid show is fantastic (however it is currently closed, not sure until when). The parade is a bit of fun (not particularly meaningful). The end theatrical performance is entertaining for all and a good way to take a rest before taking the last few rides and getting to the exit.
Two in three times I've been there it has rained heavily part or all of the day. If in rainy season, ensure you bring wet weather gear and make sure you wear clothes/footwear that can get drenched -- you will need to walk in the rain (and possibly cross a small torrent of water) at some stage. I've found the best option is to bring a change of clothes and store in your car in the carpark or in the lockers at the entrance and change when exiting if required.
One star deducted due to poor layout/mitigation options for wet weather, especially if you have pram/stroller/?wheelchair as in some parts you need to take a long...
Read moreThis place has a lot of potential however it looks run down and was not full. It needs to be repainted, I guess this is another place feeling the affects of covid. There are also animal shows which I am sceptical about since I’m not a fan of keeping animals captive and training them for entertainment. The shows are also in mandarin so if you don’t speak the language you will not under the story lines. There is a large aquarium with a variety of fish but some seemed injured and I witnessed the two turtles fighting with no staff in sight to help and the smaller one looked like it was getting seriously hurt, that left me feeling really uncomfortable and sad for the animal. The staff also don’t speak English which didn’t help. The plus side of it not being full is that there are no queues for the rides so you can go on anything you choose, the rides are well looked after and there are some that are a lot of fun and adrenaline pumping. Overall the situation with the turtles ruined my experience there however perhaps others will not feel...
