for people who loves extreme rides, like me, this place is for you.. we went there last February 5 but actually it was just a detour, for our place of choice was unfortunately close,we went there by taxi because we are 7 people, perhaps 300 per head , like i said it was a detour we came all the way from XINSHE CASTLE (FENGYUAN, STATION)our place of choice first, then to HOULI which is where LIHPAO DISCOVERY LAND is located..🎡 📍from the entrance, the information ask for our ARC because we are a foreign worker here in taiwan, we were then given a discount and we paid about $490NT which 300 less from the original price ($790NT) but there are lot of different price range posted there, others include meal which is of a different set of price but for ours, we choose to have none. 📍right after the entrance we were then greeted by a cute souvenir shop, with plenty cute stuffs reflecting the how you get to discover the literally Lihpao Discovery Land. 📍then and there we ride the GRAVITY MAX which is where Lihpao made known for, a free-fall as i describe it, and the plot twist of your life, the GALACTIC SPIN, which is like just a penny away from heaven😂 try it yourself to experience what I'm talking 'bout. 📍aside from having an amazing twist and turns in Lihpao Land, the other side of it is an OUTLET MALL, where you can buy branded clothes, shoes, etc. at a very very low price, I actually bought my not so new release shoes from Nike there, which is Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Shield with the orig. price of $4000NT, at regular malls with discounts of 10% it cost about $3100-3600NT but at Lihpao Outlet it was just $2390NT and when am about to pay the counter, it was still discounted with 20% for accdng. to the cashier it was CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION, I only paid the wapping $1950NT, how bout that? that's why you come here, see and experience for yourself the great Lihpao...
Read moreSadly some rides were closed and of course they told us after we bought the tickets. Same for the restaurants that were almost all closed all day long. The Korean restaurant was thankfully good enough.
The employees are, for most of them, not friendly. You can tell that they work there because they have no other opportunity. Even though the lines were empty to redo some rides they made us go all around, climbing the stairs to get out then redo all the way to the ride because they said maybe someone was on its way in and it would be its turn to do it but you could see far enough that no one was on the way in and it was just abuse of power.
The rides with water are, for me, a gigantic waste of plastic because they sell single use plastic coats and plastic wrappings for shoes. They are also wrapped in small plastic balls like Pokeballs and all this plastic is used for the 3 minutes of the rides then thrown away as soon as they get out of it. As a visitor, if you want to do a water ride, you take the risk to get a bit of water on you and that’s it or you don’t do it. What is the fun to go on these rides if this is not to get a bit splashed?! I could understand for the shoes but then the park should allow the visitors to leave them with their bags before getting in the ride and they take them back after the ride.
The positive is that there are rides for big and small kids. No ride is super crazy intense so everyone tall enough is able to do them. The kids had fun but, even doing some rides more than once, there is not enough rides to...
Read moreThe location is quite remote and approximately 2 hrs by public transport from Taichung. If you are planning to go this place, don’t have too much high expectation (i.e. don’t compare to Tokyo Disney or Universal Studio standard). Walking into this theme park is like taking a trip back in a time machine to theme park in the 2000s.
The park is quite badly maintained with paints peeling at most places. Most of the rides are uncomfortable as the seats are not secured which causes you to move around and getting light bruises.
The park only roller coaster, Max Gravity, probably is less than 45 seconds long but the biggest joke is that it takes 15 minutes “charging” time between each ride to dissipate the heat. (Yup. You can guess much about that technology).
The water ride, Volcano Adventure will get you completely drenched not from the splashes at the end but because the boat goes through a water fall (unlike universal studio water rides where they turn off the waterfall before the boat passes, here they leave it on as you go pass so you literally get a shower).
The staff however are very courteous and friendly.
So yay. Don’t expect much and be sure to catch the last bus to the train station because it’s close to impossible to get an Uber ride from there. I tried and failed but the nice driver that provide shuttle service was nice enough to drive me to the nearest...
