Navy Destroyer Deyang Ship Park — Attraction in Tainan

Maritime museum with decommissioned warships on display & naval history from 1945. Deyang destroyer (ship number: DD-925), one of the naval yang-type destroyers, removed the armed decommissioning and moved to Anping Port as the only warship museum in Taiwan. The Deyang Ship was originally the US Army's Keeling-class destroyer DD-837 Sasfi (served in 1945-1977), mainly serving as a strait investigation tour, outer island transportation escort, patrol alert and various exercises. Since 1945, for sixty years, it can be said she has served in the sea and peace.

Because Deyang Ship's No. 925 is a homonym for [Only love me], it is currently anchored in Anping Port and is packaged for marketing as “Anping Love park Deyang Shipyard”. It is connected with the nearby Yicheng Jincheng, Linmoiang Park and Yuguang Island to become an emerging attraction of Anping Port.

At present, only areas above the deck are open. For the general public, it is a rare experience to visit a warship. It is recommended to stay at least 70 minutes. There are many places on the Deyang ship that are super super suitable for photo-taking, apron (IG popular punch card) , deck fort, captain's room, flag bearer platform, etc. To shoot a tarmac, you may need to bring your own photographer (boyfriend, husband, sister friends...), the best shooting point from the second floor of the deck. To shoot the turret, there is a turret on the stern and the bow deck. The stern can also climb up. Standing on the turret seems to be quite powerful. In addition, the front end of the ship's head can also take a look at the classic posture of the Titanic.

德陽號驅逐艦（舷號：DD-925），是海軍陽字號驅逐艦之一，去掉武裝除役後，移至安平港做為臺灣目前唯一一艘軍艦博物館。德陽艦原本為美軍的基靈級驅逐艦DD-837 薩斯菲號（1945－1977年服役），主要擔任海峽偵巡、外島運補護航、巡弋警戒及各項演訓等任務，自1945年一共服役六十年，可說功在大海與和平。

In the sight,you will see the British Sec-floor Bus,Fortress,wedding bell tower and Holland windmill. The Touching Karma Baking Shop is a sugarcane cultural theme park. It’s located the ShanHua City. When you pass the other side,you would see The Park of Lin Mou Niang. Walking by canal,it has a liner station in front. It has three lines to the Tainan City Hall. After,it’s around the children’s playground. Walking through the park,you will be seeing the huge gesture of Lin Mou Niang. See another gesture of San Tai Zi in front of you. This Teyang Navy Destroyer Museum in Tainan is a hidden gem for history buffs and naval geeks.

It wasn't very big but there were lots of hands on stuff. You could try your hand at semaphore flag signaling, sending Morse code messages, play with the ship's wheel and sit in the Captain's chair on the bridge!

Tickets are only 100NT and I got mine on Klook. But there wasn't a queue for tickets so you can probably just get it there.

There's not much ventilation in the rooms so be prepared to endure the heat in...
