Shipai Night Market — Attraction in Taipei

A busy little street, this night market serves the local community as commuters exit the MRT station. Worth a visit if you're passing by, but I would not make this a destination.

If one is going along the red line north, the Beitou market two stops away also becomes a night market with a much larger variety of foods and vendors, as the daytime vendors close up and the evening vendors open up.

There are a couple of shops that I visit on a regular basis in this market. One serves grilled or barbequed pork, chicken, beef, or muttons. Another is a Korean chicken place in one of the smaller alleys. Of course there will be the usual rice toppings & noodle shops.
