This place should not be allowed to exist. It is a police rife with cruelty. The fact that any human pays money to go see an animal essentially going through torture, is insane. Absolutely insane. How can you not see the sentience? It is cruel especially to leave our closest relatives monkeyed+apes ....in cages...alone for years decades.... closer to half a century now than not. Imagine if you were left alone for that long? Imagine if you had no comfort? You got to always be in a concrete cage. No access to mental stimulation, so you are literally staring at four walls, alone. Even the animals that don’t have the same level of intelligence, as monkeys and apes, still deserve to have a fulfilling life. It has been proven that these animals feel pain, and it’s not just physical they feel. They feel mental anguish like we do. If you wouldn’t wanna be locked up alone like this, and please do not support this, or anything for that matter. The worst part about it is, many people, and organizations have offered to hold these animals. (Part of me wonders though if a barrier to this, is the fact that the people who work there may not have another form of work afterwards. Maybe if one of these organizations could help these people find work afterwards, it would be more feasible to shut this place down. Similar to what I have seen in India with people who used to have businesses that were abusive to elephants.)Best thing you can do though people who are reading this, is do not go there. Do not support cruelty. We have...
Read moreMaybe you could get gold reviews if it weren’t for the fact that animal abuse and neglect are rampant here. And no I don’t support PETA. I actually think PETA is a joke. And for an even bigger shocker I’ve worked for zoos. They just happen to be conservation parks so I can pinky promise first hand that this animals aren’t happy and are actually miserable. Doesn’t matter how many obnoxiously bright fruits you put out for photos. Food isn’t the only thing to make an animal. Which seems to be a big issue here. If you ever want to time travel look no further than this place! They’ll take you back in time to where humans literally helped run species to extinction. You’ll go back and time and see how animal torture and neglect doesn’t mean a thing because hey! The primates with less hair and ability to hand over currency should get to treat those that are deemed “inferior” like garbage. Because what’s a human if it isn’t a horrible being treating animals and their native habitats like garbage all for the sake of money? Enjoy your less than strip mall (American term, google it) because it’s somehow the...
Read morePata it's actually an old department store and there are news that the owner is going to renovate the building itself so at the moment the ground floor is available only and also the Pata zoo that's still opening. I think it's really hard for me to make a decision to rate this one, the zoo itself would probably open for more than 30 years and I believe most of the Bangkokian must have visit this place at least once a lifetime. Even though the popularity of the zoo is decreasing and the decoration is becoming old-fashioned and also needed maintenance. However I can see those animals been treated fairly and in a good shape that evidently those animals I still alive and well. For me I think that shows care and good intention from the owner on this zoo, and worth coming for a visit.
