The food is amazing! Personally, I prefer tom yum goong nam sai (tom yum without coconut milk) better than with coconut milk. The flavour really kicks in and the ingredients all fresh in here! Be careful with spicy level because the medium one is the spiciest one for me hahaha. The resto isn't very pretty but pricewise it was really fine for me. The owner speaks english very well so if you can't speak thai just make sure you speak to the owner directly. Oh, their tea is kinda special too, cmiiw but there's a hint of corn tea like in korea + bitterness from tea leaf (you must try it!)

1. ก็ไม่รู้ทำไม ผมติดปากเรียกที่นี่ว่า..ซ้งหัวปลาต้มยำ ทั้งที่เขาชื่อ ปิ่นเกล้า หัวปลา และนักเที่ยวพระนครสมัยก่อน ถ้า ชอบเผ็ดแสบ(ต้มยำ) มานี่ เผ็ดร้อน(พริกไท) ไปเอี่ยวไถ่ เป็นร้านในตำนาน 2. ขอพูดแค่จากวันที่ไปกิน ..26/05/2567 ผมเคยเลิกกินที่นี่.เพระ.. ต้มยำใช้มะนาวเทียม ไม่ผิดหวัง เหมือนเดิม กินไม่ได้ แถมออกเค็มเกินไปไร้ความกลมกล่อมแบบเดิมๆ ต้มยำน้ำข้นเขาเคยเด็ดมาก วันนี้ไม่เหลือรอย 3. ผัดหมี่ไฟอ่อนแฉะกลิ่นหมี่ออกกลิ่นหมี่ออก ข้าวผัดปิ่นเกล้า ก็แฉะ.. และ เค็ม จนผมบอกน้องสาวว่า.. พ่อครัว พม่าแน่ๆ เพราะคนพม่ากินรสนี้ 4. ผัดโหงวก่วยวัดดวง คือ.. แกสที่นี่ไฟออ่นมาก กินเซี่ยงจี๊กับตับ เขาใส่พร้อมกันและไฟออานแน่ๆ แข็งจนหมดอร่อย ทั้งๆที่ตับก็ไม่ขมเซี่ยงจี๊ก็แล่มาดีไม่เหม็น 5. ข้าวผัดปิ่นเกล้าที่เคยอลังการด้วยเครื่อง ซึ่งเขาจัดมาเต็มทั้งไส้กรอก ปลาหมึก หมึกกรอบ แมงกระพรุน ฯลฯ แต่ผัดมาแฉะ ต้องขอต้นหอมเพิ่ม มะนาวก็ไม่มีให้ คือ...เสียใจที่เคยชอบ 6. หมี่กระเฉด.. นิดสๆ มีกระเฉดมาน้อย แฉะ เหม็นกลิ่นเส้น เค็มมมมม.. มีดีแค่ กุ้งตัวโตๆ 7. ร้านมีห้องแอร์นะ แต่ต้องขัามแอร๋ชั้น2ไปชั้น3 แถมเอาผ้าห่มมากั้นทางเข้าไว้ ถ้าไม่หน้าด้านเปิดเข้าไป ไม่ได้นั่ง 8. ที่จอดรถ.. มีเด็กคอยกันให้แต่แท๊กซี่เหอะครับหาที่จอดยาก 9. สภาพร้านย้อนยุคเก่า แต่ยังสะอาด และน้องบริกร ก็ดีมากเป็นบางคน 10. กว่าจะนึกให้ได้ครบ 10 เรื่อง โดยไม่บ่น และหาข้อดีเหนื่อยเลย อยากให้ร้านกลับมาเหมือนเดิมนะ ร้านที่ กึ่งเหลา กึ่งตามสั่ง ร้านที่ต้องคอยเช็คครัวว่าวันนี้มีอะไร มีเผี๊ยปลา..เอามั๊ย ลิ้นปลากินมั๊ย ฯลฯ เฟลมากกับอาหารวันนี้ รสชาติอาหารแย่มากครับ ... แง่บๆ

ปิ่นเกล้าหัวปลาหม้อไฟ ... 30กว่าปีที่พิสูจน์ความอร่อย จากรุ่นสู่รุ่น เป็นร้านที่เอาใจใส่สุขภาพลูกค้าสุดๆ เลือกวัตถุดิบที่สดใหม่ ไม่แช่สาร อันนี้คือเน้นมากๆ ทานปลาได้อย่างสบายใจ อาหาร4อย่างที่ทานวันนี้ ปลาต้มเผือก(หัว พุง ไข่ เนื้อ) : อร่อยมากๆน้ำซุบรสชาตินัวสุดๆ ปลาสดอร่อย จิ้มน้ำจิ้มนิดๆเข้ากันมากๆ พุงที่มาในหม้ออร่อยสุดๆ เจ้าของร้านบอกว่าพุงนี้จะมีแต่ในปลาที่น้ำหนัก5กิโลเป็นต้นไป ผัดผักกระเฉด : เมนูเด็ดของร้าน ที่คัดมาแต่ช่วงอ่อนๆของผักกระเฉด เด็ดข้อออกหมด ตรงส่วนไหนแก่เด็ดทิ้งหมด ผัดกับพริกนิดหน่อย กระเทียมเยอะหน่อย กรอบอร่อย รสชาติดีเชียว เผลอแป๊บเดียวหมดจาน ไส้ทอด : โอ๊ะๆๆใครชอบทานไส้ทอด เชิญทางนี้จ้ะ กรอบฟินมาก ไม่เลี่ยนไม่อมน้ำมันเลย ไส้อร่อย น้ำจิ้มหวานกำลังดีกัดเข้าไปพร้อมกับงาขาวคั่วใหม่ๆ กรุบกริบในปาก หอมมันงา น้ำจิ้มซอสหวานที่ร้านทำเองด้วยนะ ใหม่สดทุกวัน เห็ดออรินจิแดดเดียว : เมนูนี้คือ..ทำได้ไง ทานแล้วหยุดไม่ได้ ทำไมทานเห็ดแล้วเหมือนทานหมูทอดติดมันนิดๆ เฮ้ย!!!อร่อยเกินไปนะ นี่ถ้ามีข้าวเหนียวร้อนๆจะฟินมากมาย อารมณ์เหมือนกินข้าวเหนียวหมูทอดอร่อยๆเลย มาโดนให้ได้นะร้านนี้!!!!

Quite pricey for the local food and the quality was dissapointig. Absolutely uneatable tofu (the worst food experience we had in BKK), just a bit better seafood mix (chewing gum witb smell of river) and the stir fried cabbage which turned out to be somewhat tasty. Don't go there, there are so many better places in this city.

It was Sunday evening and parking was easy! They were quite busy, but we found our table in 15 minutes. We came in a party of 9 people and ordered 9 dishes! Our food came quickly, and and they were quite good! I would recommend this spot whenever in the area.

This restaurant is good at fish head soup which match the rice congee without fishy smell. All other food are delicious with not too salty as some other restaurants. Great value with above average serving size. Worth a favorite for this area when passing by.
