It’s a good sized grocery store with a wide selection of foods. Let the seafood market cook your seafood for free.Decent selection of veggies and fruit. Could use better high end choices like Topps but it does not have the demographic to support that. I gave it a 3 star for 3?reasons: 1. They tried to overcharge me twice. I caught it the second time because it was so large. My bill was supposed to be in the high 300 baht range but it was over 600. I purchased only 7 items and 2 were priced wrong. I hope they are not overcharging me because I am a foreigner. This happens a lot in Bangkok. I don’t think they actively check their prices and some mark down items did not scan correctly. The cashier did follow me when I told him the prices were wrong. Question is did he adjust the scan to reflect the correct price for the next buyer. My biggest over charge was a lotus brand mop. It was supposed to be 199 but scanned at over 300. It was not on sale. Second issue is they don’t have the selection of topps especially on the higher level. I couldn’t find real Greek yogurt, only Greek style. Selection of good meat was small. Third there were not as many promotions as Topps. Third, not as many mark items. Topps marks down their premade dinners at the end of the day. Almost every type of food Lotus did not mark down crispy pork or other items like whole broiled chicken. Fourth they do not manage their checkouts as good as Topps. Topps opens more cash registers when the lines are...
Read moreThe most special things about this branch of Tesco Lotus are: 1) It's located almost next to the Crime Suppression Division (low chance of theft), 2) Located within a walk over the pedestrian bridge on Paholyothin Road from Central Plaza Ladprao so shoppers can enjoy visiting both places in one go, 3) Even if the size in number of square metres the entire retail space has here, it is a great city-level branch of this hypermarket chain. It stocks up majority of best selling products whether it be premium fresh produce, inexpensive vegetable and fruit, bakery, fish, meat, poultry, great variety of ingredients, sausages, rice grain, sauces, soft drinks, liquor, wine and beer, etc. It sells homeware and interior decorations as well as some exterior items. Not only that it sells stationery, DVDs, sporting goods, bicycles, average furniture, beddings, general clothing items, children's wear and shoes, but it also sells home appliances. There are also Swensen's ice cream shop, Fuji and MK Restaurants as well as a couple other QSRs. There is a key maker outlet, watch counter, a few mobile phone outlets, major bank branches, market type of clothing outlets both inside and in the front open space. Plenty of clean restrooms on both ground floor and upper floor. Plenty of...
Read moreI too, used to be in love this this tesco lotus. However now it remains as my secondary shopping place to buy products from because their branded items such as the tesco water is the most safe and delicious one I have tasted. I also highly recommend the tesco lotus big pack of vinegar which I use in a spray bottle with their water to disinfect everything in my bangkok apartment because dettol is so expensive here I could cry. I wouldnt say its the BEST price because there are some items (foreign and local) which are marked up more than it should. Also to the person who said that the fruit and veg looks nicer and cleaner- try washing said items in water and vinegar and tell me how clean it is compared to most items from any veggie or fruit stall in bangkok. Don't get sucked in by marketing and lighting. Try Max Valu if you can, but I'm not a rich tourist so if you guys are then this wont be a...
