🛍️ Union Mall – Local Style, Affordable Fashion, and a Comfortable Shopping Vibe
Union Mall is one of those underrated gems in Bangkok that I always enjoy visiting. It may not have the glitz of the high-end malls, but it makes up for it with affordable fashion, local designer stalls, and a relaxed, spacious layout that’s comfortable to walk through — even during peak hours.
🛒 Shopping Highlights There’s a wide range of clothing stalls, many offering unique pieces you won’t find in chain stores. Prices are very reasonable, and it’s a favorite among students and younger locals. I also appreciated how the mall caters to plus-sized shoppers, which can be hard to find elsewhere.
🍜 Food Court Wins The food court is surprisingly good — a nice mix of classic Thai dishes, street-style snacks, and refreshing drinks. Everything is well-priced, tasty, and convenient if you’re looking to refuel in between shopping.
🚉 Easy to Get To It’s conveniently connected by a skywalk to Phahon Yothin MRT station, making it super accessible without the hassle of traffic. Unlike more touristy spots, this mall feels more local and authentic, and you can shop in peace without being overly crowded.
💅 Beauty & More Don’t miss the beauty salons and grooming services — perfect for a quick mani-pedi, hair cut, or massage at a very fair price.

Final Thoughts: Union Mall may not be flashy, but it’s fun, functional, and full of great finds. Whether you’re bargain-hunting, trying local street food in a clean setting, or looking for a quick pampering break, this mall delivers on all fronts — and all without the overwhelming crowds of the...

Getting to Union Mall is very convenient. Just take the MRT to the Phahonyothin station and follow the signs. Its a very, very short walk from the MRT station. If you're driving, be wary of the traffic on Lat Phrao Road. It can be horrific. There's paid covered parking for cars and motorcycles.
Inside you will find many restaurants, coffee shops and sweet treats. I recommend the Espuccino at Coffee Today (3rd floor, I believe), and the Gelato. Its delicious, and inexpensive.
There is a food court with many, many choices on the basement level. I've eaten at several of the vendors and each one was quite tasty. Buy the pre-paid card first and enjoy. You'll find other restaurants on different levels of the mall.
The stores are more like inside market vendors and you can find some excellent deals on clothes, accessories, shoes and more. You'll also find a few education offices (Wall Street English, for example) and many bank branches. If Union Mall doesn't offer what you're looking for, its a short walk to Central Plaza through a...

Located in the Ladprao area, this shopping center offers a refreshing mix of trendy clothes, accessories, and streetwear, often at prices that won’t make your wallet cry 💸😊.
The vibe here is more local and laid-back, with small shops and boutiques showcasing everything from casual wear to unique, indie designs. You’ll find everything from stylish t-shirts and dresses to quirky accessories and even a few second-hand treasures if you’re lucky 🍀. It’s a great spot for those who love to browse and discover hidden fashion gems at a fraction of the price you’d expect at larger malls.
When you need a break from shopping, the food court offers a good selection of Thai and international bites 🍜🍤. It’s not as fancy as some of the upscale malls, but the food is tasty, affordable, and perfect for refueling before diving back into the shops. Overall, Union Mall is a fun, budget-friendly destination that combines fashion, food, and a more authentic, local...
