I walked from the clock tower and it took me about 8 minutes. There are places for Buddhists to pray, most of the buildings are for that purpose, but plenty of scenic places to sit as well. It's absolutely worth a visit, I went on my own but I think it'd be lovely to take a special someone or go with a friend.
