129 ART MUSEUM — Attraction in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

129 Art Musuem is at Pakchong and is around 2.5 hrs drive from Bangkok.

The Musuem closed every Wednesday. Entrant fee is 300 THB per person and also accept educational group tour, but need calling inadvance though to book and enquire on pricing.

The Musuem is well preserved and comprises with lots of many Thai National Artist's paintings as well as Sculpture.

The basement level is for Gundam's Fans as, the collector here is really an avid fans of Gundam. With over 1000s of figures/models from different generations.

The overall experience was great, with many rare and unseen paintings are preserved here. It is always a great and joyful experience to see both National Thai Artists and Thai Emerging Artists stood their ground and showcase how talent they are.

129 holds a great of collections from various important Thai artists from many periods, ranging from King Rama V to date. The photos shown on google Maps are only a part of its collection since photo or vdo is not allowed in the basement gallery. Especially if you like modern art like impressionist and expressionist, you will be thrilled to see work from Prakit Buabusaya, Chalood Nimsamer, Tawee Nanthakwang, Tawan Dadchanee and many more. You cah scan the QR code to learn more about each piece. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. It should take you around 1-2.5 hours to see all the work, depending on how much time you spend on each piece.

The entrance fee is 300 Baht for Adult. It may seem rather high, but their collection diffinately worth the money. However, the lighting can be improved. Such work deserves better lighting to enhance...

🎨มาทริปเขาใหญ่ครั้งนี้ไม่ได้แค่มาทานของอร่อยนะ แต่ยังได้มาพิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะที่รวบรวมผลงานหายากอีกด้วย ที่นี่จะแบ่งเป็น 2 ตึก คือตึกที่แสดงผลงานของศิลปินแห่งชาติมากมายเช่นกรมพระยานริศรานุวัดติวงศ์ อ.ทวี นันทขว้าง และ อ.ถวัลย์ ดัชนี ที่มาพร้อมกับงาน masterpiece ที่ชื่อว่า "เวสสันดรชาดก“ ส่วนอีกตึกจะแสดงผลงานของศิลปินร่วมสมัยต่างๆเช่นอนุพงษ์ จันทร หและก้องกาน แถมที่นี่ยังมีห้องสะสมหุ่นยนต์ Gundam ด้วย

คุณกิ๊ก เยาวณี เจ้าของพิพิธภัณฑ์เล่าว่า นอกจากความชื่นชอบหลงใหลในศิลปะแล้ว เหตุผลที่รวบรวมงานเหล่านี้ไว้เพราะอยากให้มีชิ้นงานที่ทรงคุณค่าแบบนี้อยู่ในประเทศไทยเยอะๆเพื่อเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้กับศิลปินรุ่นหลังและเพื่อให้นักศึกษาที่สนใจศิลปะมีแหล่งได้มาศึกษาหาความรู้โดยที่ไม่จำเป็นต้องบินไปต่างประเทศ เพราะผลงานหลายๆชิ้นของที่นี่ก็ถูกพิพิธภัณฑ์ในต่างประเทศมายืมไปโชว์บ่อยครั้ง
