Seacon Square shopping and entertainment complex opened to the public in September 1994 which was presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The construction of the half a million square metre area and half a kilometre long building on a 30 acre site began in 1991 through a 200 million US dollar undertaking of the Sosothikul family and their business partners. One of the most outstanding and eye-catching of the city's shopping complexes, Seacon Square occupies 139,200 square metres with a facing running 700 metres along Srinakarin road, whose total building area in 500,000 square metre is the equivalent of 96 football fields. Seacon Square is located on the Srinakarin road, the main thoroughfare of Bangkok East. With the new airport only 14 km. away. Population growth is expected to continue as more communities come into the area. Seacon Square offers five floors of retail space, including more than 400 speciality shops, a huge IT section on the ground floor and 15 main stores such as Tesco Lotus, Robinson Department Store, Seacon Fashion Mall, Office Depot and Tops Supermarket. A food court occupies the fourth floor, overlooking the main atrium, with up to 30 shops offering a good range of Thai and Asian fare. Similar to the food court, in the Food Market on the ground floor you will find a street side cuisine concept and features some 20 vendors selling street style quick meals and snacks. The IT section at Seacon Square is a major attraction, as it’s the largest centre for computers, parts and accessories east of downtown Bangkok. Electronic hobbyists will feel at home at Klongtom Seacon on the third floor, which offers all kinds of electronic parts, toys, watches, mobile / cell phones and Hi-Fi equipment. Grand EGV Seacon Square has 14 theatres here. The 14 cinemas offer the latest multiplex screen movies for your added enjoyment plus a convenient computerized ticket reservation system with advance booking by telephone accepted. It has a 38 lane bowling alley. Having a zone for people who smoke and do not smoke. They offer the most advanced bowling park in the area. A Roller Blade rink which is Thailand's first perfect roller blade rink and is fully equipped with a speed track. You can speed ahead around the curving track through the horizontal mound, testing your skill and ability. If you wish to test your expertise then there is also the street ramp. An exclusive team of roller blade experts are at your service to train and take care of your safety always. The Simulator is the latest addition A ultra modern way of watching movies. It is the first full movement theatre under a domed screen which gives you the impression you are in each scene and transfers you to another world with a spectrum of special effects. Yoyo Land Amusement Park is a large indoor theme park on the fourth floor for fun lovers and all family members. You and your friends will enjoy 22 of the latest rides such as the biggest Wave Swinger in the country, a heart stopping Roller Coaster and a Flume Ride for fun lovers of all ages. Yama's Golf Course, the 9 hole crazy golf course, with spectacular scenery especially designed to challenge even the most...

This place is located at Srinakarin near Bang Na. It is nothing like those high end malls like Siam Paragon and its sales people with their pressurizing smiles. This is more of a middle class shopping plaza but at the same time the prices are not THAT rock bottom; yet alluring enough. This is a very popular place where local Thais and some tourists come in search of jewelry and gold. Gold shops offer 95% and 99.6% purity but these are bought for their value and cannot be worn all the time because they are too soft and malleable and can lose their shape. Jewelry shops offer diamond and gold set in nickel alloys for reasonable prices. There is a good range of wearables depending on your budget but the really captivating rings and pendants can go upwards of 60,000 baht and above per piece. It is also an ideal place to purchase jewelry, wedding rings and diamonds. There are GIA certified stones here, although I'm not sure whether the certified diamonds are overpriced. All in all, it is very unlikely that you'll get cheated buying jewelry here, so if you can speak competent Thai or have a fluent speaking friend accompany you, you might just find that perfect accessory or gem! There's a department store called Robinsons that sells nice and cheap infant clothing, and this is a really nice hangout for families with babies or children.
