There is a delicate balance between believing one is doing well and unintentionally masking areas needing improvement, often mistaken as satisfaction.

On that note, we are passionate advocates of the Wyndham Lifestyle. This commitment is reflected in our substantial investment in the product—far beyond what typical holidaymakers or Wyndham sales representatives, who may only holiday once or twice a year and often do not own points, would demonstrate. We genuinely value our points and are committed to seeing the Wyndham arrangement succeed. Our understanding of the brand and its offerings exceeds the superficial level at which they are often presented.

While our outlook and expectations may differ from some, I believe they are reasonable—both as owners and as holiday guests. For instance, when we choose to spend time at a resort that costs points and dedicates irreplaceable personal time, I feel a sense of disappointment—or even frustration—if the experience does not meet expectations. When a property claims to be a 5-star resort, I expect fundamental standards such as cleanliness, functioning facilities, and a positive atmosphere. If these basics are lacking, it diminishes the experience significantly.

Our recent two-month stay at Wyndham Sea Pearl was mostly positive, largely because we are respectful travelers who adapt easily. We tend to overlook minor issues and are not overly fussed. That said, not everyone shares this perspective.

Our positive experience was also influenced by room upgrades and the fact that we secured points at a relatively low rate—around 1,250 points per night—possibly because the resort was approximately 50% under construction at the time (February-March 2025).

When we initially shared a feedback, it was interpreted as indicating that we were fully satisfied with the resort. However, our intention was to politely communicate that there is significant room for improvement, as we genuinely see the resort’s potential. We believe that with targeted enhancements, the property could elevate its standards and better meet guest expectations. Our comments were meant to be constructive rather than critical, emphasizing the opportunities for growth rather than dissatisfaction.

Unfortunately, we received limited information, which led us to conclude that little was being done—understandable given the low points cost.

The combination of affordable points and room upgrades created a balanced experience for us, so we have little to complain about.

We sincerely appreciated the assistance of staff members like Poppy the concierge and Crystal, as well as the housekeeping team—they genuinely enhanced our stay. Conversely, early frustrations led us to disengage from certain staff members.

The shuttle service to nearby shops is great and essential but could benefit from expanded hours. During our stay, internet connectivity was inconsistent, and some TV channels were unavailable, which detracted from the overall experience.

Balcony SPA was MVP.

The food and room service were adequate but faced stiff local competition, making it less appealing to return. Notably, the main pool and sauna were often closed well before their scheduled closing times, giving the impression that cost-saving measures might be at play—something that seemed out of place at a resort of this caliber. When open, these facilities were enjoyable; understaffing might explain the closures.

Overall, I would recommend this resort, provided that ongoing construction and restricted areas are fully completed. Recently, I checked the points required for a booking here again, and they have nearly tripled. I strongly advise confirming whether the resort has made significant improvements before considering a higher-cost stay. . I assume that higher costs are justified by substantial renovations and upgrades.👌 enjoy.

PS We had a scooter which made the location doable, extremely difficult location to do by foot unless they build new pathways away from the main road. Hence why more options is needed for guests staying...

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket

Rating: DOES NOT DESERVE A STAR. It’s ridiculous that they’re branded as a 5 star hotel.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket. From the moment we arrived, my friend and I encountered numerous issues that left us frustrated and dissatisfied. The problems ranged from cleanliness issues, unhelpful staff, and subpar facilities, ultimately leading to a complete waste of our money. I feel it is important to share my negative review to warn others about the poor quality of this resort.

Upon my friend's arrival, she discovered a cockroach inside the closet where the robes were kept. Although she requested assistance and a change of robes, this incident was an immediate red flag regarding the resort's cleanliness standards. When I arrived the next day, the front desk team seemed clueless about my friend's check-in and the key card she had left for me. It took unnecessary effort to clarify the situation, which was frustrating and indicative of their lack of organization and communication.

The issues continued in our room. The rain shower had mold, which was a severe disappointment and a clear indication of poor maintenance. Additionally, the pool, one of the main reasons we chose this resort, was in a deplorable state. It was filled with leaves and had visibly dirty water, despite our daily requests for cleaning. This negligence was unacceptable, especially for a supposedly 5-star hotel.

Furthermore, the lack of cleanliness extended beyond the room. The clothing rack we wanted to use to dry our wet clothes was covered in spider webs and spiders, which was absolutely appalling. It was clear that housekeeping had not properly cleaned or checked the rack before our arrival. These experiences, coupled with my friend's encounter with a cockroach, left us furious and utterly dissatisfied.

When we addressed our concerns with the front desk, they assured us that a deep cleaning would be conducted the next day. However, this should have been done before accommodating guests, not as a reaction to our complaints. Although the room seemed slightly better after the cleaning, the pool remained in a disgusting state, rendering our extra payment for a pool suite pointless.

To make matters worse, our last day at the resort was marred by further disappointments. As we made our way to the restaurant for breakfast, we discovered spider webs with actual spiders on the stairways, indicating a lack of cleanliness throughout the property. The buffet breakfast, which came at an additional cost, was underwhelming, with a limited selection and half of the lights turned off. Moreover, the phone connecting to the front desk was dysfunctional, making communication difficult and resulting in erroneous room service deliveries.

In conclusion, my experience at Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket was truly abysmal. The resort failed to meet even the basic standards of cleanliness, customer service, and facilities expected of a 5-star establishment. I strongly advise against choosing this resort, as it is a complete waste of money and a scam. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by seeking...

Review: Disastrous Experience at Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket

Our recent stay at the Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket was deeply disappointing and frustrating.

We booked 2 rooms hence I'm giving a review for both rooms.

Review for room 1 DELUXE KING ROOM: To begin with, the room my sister was initially given bore no resemblance to the photos on the website. When I raised this issue with the staff, they dismissed it, attributing the discrepancy to an error by their agent. This is simply UNACCEPTABLE FALSE ADVERTISING. The floor in the balcony creaked with every step, the jacuzzi was filthy, the room smelled stale, and the bath tub water came out yellow. Additionally, there were men loitering outside her room, which made me feel unsafe for her and compelled me to request a room change.

The new room finally matched the photos, but it was a DOWNGRADE with no bath tub, and the jacuzzi in the next room was still dirty. Even the deluxe twin room in the website stated it should have a bath tub. When asked, they said the reason was because the room already has jacuzzi and has pool view. After all the inconvenience, my sister was left with a room that was inferior to what she had originally booked. Again, this is simply unacceptable. It has made her check out one night early.

-- Review for room 2 ONE BEDROOM SUITE: The issues didn’t stop there. In the other room we booked, the bathtub tap wasn’t working. I called reception at 10PM and was told someone would be sent immediately. After waiting for 20 minutes, I called again, only to be informed that it would take another 10-15 minutes. If I had known I would be waiting over 30 minutes, I would have showered and gone to bed. I eventually canceled the request, only to find out that the hairdryer was also broken. I called reception again, and instead of addressing the hairdryer issue, they sent someone to fix the bathtub at 11 PM. The receptionist either didn’t understand my request or chose to ignore it, which was incredibly frustrating. While fixing the bathtub, the water finally came out but it was dirty brown in color. I didn't even use the bathtub due to the disgusting color but my skin have rashes now probably because the shower water and jacuzzi is also dirty.

Further, this room lacks maintenance as the 2 TVs were old. The white sofa is visibly old and torn. The bedsheets felt cheap.

Moreover, some of the female receptionists were unprofessional and rude, which further compounded the poor experience. The lack of basic customer service and dismissive attitude were unacceptable. The only better service I received were from Daino and Zaina who dealt with us with courtesy and professionalism. The service from the car driver was also good.

Location is also inconvenient and far from everything else.

Overall, our stay at Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket was one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. The lack of professionalism, poor room conditions, and unhelpful staff made our stay extremely unpleasant. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. Don't even think about getting Club Wyndham. So disappointed this has definitely changed our views of the...
