One of the best leisure ports of the country, build in the begning of the 2000s as part of the Yasmine Hammmet touristic bay filled with a huge choice of very praised restaurants and surrounded by hundreds of hotels. Port parking fees are so affordable that many travelers prefers to live in their boats rather than hotels. The Port has its own car parking lot and is living compound which is a bit expensive.

The Marina is pretty run down which is a shame as it could be brilliant and was developed. Lots of vacant shops and restaurants. Be wary of the constant haggling of people trying to sell you things, especially if you are wearing a wristband for your resort. They'll use it as a way to get some sort of association with you by saying they served you there.

Great hotel for families the first room we were given resembled a very bad hostel room not 4* hotel room. We complained and was given a lovely room worthy of 4 stars, took three days to get a cot for the baby although the hotel would have been aware our booking included a baby. They have SPA facilities I wanted my toes painted as i had a pedicure before arriving and wanted to change the color on my toes and was told this would be £40! I didnt bother taking this service but we had the 1 hr SPA treatment for £40. Plenty of healthy food choices, good selection of sweets and fruits, the food may not be to everyones taste. No premium drinks. Excursions can be booked at the hotel lots of pressure from the organisers to book with them. Handy shop reasonably priced on site. It cost three adults £21 each tax on arrival at the hotel for 7 days. Had...

Le port Yasmine Hammamet. Hammamet sud.

Yeah, Yasmine's all right... When you arrive at your Hotel, go into Yasmine first before you buy stuff at the Hotel shop because odds on you'll find it half the price. The Costa-thingy mall is a great place to buy clothes and Jewellery, the replica Sidi-Bou-Said medina is a laugh and a cracking night spot in season. The biggest mistake to make, as with all Tunisia, is to expect it to be Guildford on Sea. Its not, it won't be and its all the more charming for it! Jump in, be Tunisian, speak the language, eat the food, play the Haggling game, respect the local customs (indeed, embrace them, you'll have a far better laugh). If you want proper local shopping, go to old Hammamet (or the massive market at Nabeul), but Yasmine is cool as a parody of post apocalyptic St Tropez, view it as that and...
