The Kobba Bent el Rey is an underground construction from Roman times , formerly known as the Bath of Dido [ 1 ] , located in the city of Carthage in Tunisia . It is located on the hill of Bordj Djedid, inside the Lycée de Carthage.
Little studied despite a remarkable state of conservation, the building was however between 1978 and 1989 during the international campaign led by Unesco
The building was dated to the years 320 - 340 [ 3 ] . Despite the absence of formal evidence on the destination of the monument [ 4 ] , the supposed residential monument is the one that is best preserved on the site of Carthage.
The construction consists of a large room measuring seven by three meters [ 5 ] and two adjacent rooms measuring 3.20 by 2.75 meters [ 5 ] reusing an old cistern .
