The Conference of Carthage, held by the command of the Emperor Honorius in 411 with a view to terminating the Donatist schism, while not strictly a synod, was one of the most important assemblies in the history of the African sees, and of the whole Catholic Church. It was presided over by Marcellinus of Carthage who found in favour of the orthodox party, which led to the violent suppression of the Donatists.

The beauty is that no one comes to this site any more so you have the experience to yourself which is pretty incredible, especially at sunset. I scaled the dirt wall from the road to get here but if I had checked more carefully, there is a side road with a little gate to access the area

Baths of Gargilius are located very close to Bysra Hill on the Ancient City of Carthage Tour. This site is very small but worth seeing if you are walking around. I really enjoyed the visit of this historical area.
