Yalcin Hotel — Attraction in Çeşme

The hotel may well be located centrally but really and truly it isn’t. You’ll have to walk up on a really long steep-road by its wide side-steps which are not comfortable in order to get to it. I most definitely do not recommend it for the elderly!

The rooms are really old and uncared for. Nothing special whatsoever! I’d stayed in a very small room with an old single bed in it and the total I’d paid was 3000TL for a week and it wasn’t even Summer! It was back in September. And, yes it’s inclusive of the breakfast but it was almost the same and very basic everyday and still doesn’t justify the price! Oh, not to mention my room was facing the entrance of the hotel and the people were very loud and noisy at unexpected times.

The shower room is very old and tatty and the hot water adjustment was a nightmare. It’s literally taken me 30 minutes everyday to take one as the balance of hot or cold water to make it warmer was just impossible. You are either getting burnt by it or shivered!

The small terrace where the breakfast was served was the only plus for me as it was very nice and peaceful. Oh, and the lovely kittens in the garden was the icing on the cake! The staff were lovely and helpful, well some of them.

All in all, the selling tactics in the pictures and through agencies have worked but I’d say do your own researches well before making a booking. Maybe after, I should have paid the extra and go to Alacati instead as advised by...

Located up a steep hill in the old town, we chose this small hotel as we prefer to stay in the old neighbourhoods in family run B&Bs and spend our days walking and exploring. The Yalcin was perfect for us, right next to the castle, a few minutes walk to the harbour and main street with its shops and restaurants.||Our room was a little snug, not much room to move about with limited luggage space although there was sufficient storage in wardrobe and drawers. The shower room was fine, hot water, towels changed regularly and everywhere was clean. Although our room was at street level, the location was quiet at night. I liked the little information book on Cesme that was left in our room, most informative. ||Breakfast was served each morning on the lower terrace due to the weather on our first couple of days. There was a selection of cereals and pastries available as well as the traditional Turkish fare. Eşimle beraber Çeşme’ye çevredeki olanaklardan faydalanmak , çeşitli Beach ve Restorantları deneyimlemek için geldik.Oteli sadece zaruri ihtiyaçlarımız için kullanmak istedik.

Otel çalışanları güleryüzlü olmak zorunda olduklarını göstermek için sadece güleryüzlü bir şekilde karşıladı. İçten ve samimi değildi. (Önyargılı gibi düşünmeyin , görünce daha iyi anlayabilirsiniz) Bir merhaba ve kimlik isteme işleminden sonra hemen ödemenin geri kalanını almak istediler. İlgili personel , ‘Hatta mümkünse nakit olarak alayım’ dedi. Odayı sadece ihtiyaçlarım için bile kullanacak olsam , İşletme personelleri memnuniyet teyidi almak adına genelde odayı önden bir göstermek isterler. Bu durum olmasa bile , Nasılsınız ? Yoldan geldiniz istirahat etmek ister misiniz çay veya kahve içer misiniz diye sorarlar. Bu genelde böyledir. Müşteri değil Misafir gibi hissettirmenin yoludur bu aslında.

İçeriğini yorumlamak isterim ; -Oda çok küçüktü. Sadece yatağa yatabilmeniz için yatağın kenarlarında boş alan var. Bir de Önündeki şifonyerin çekmecesini açacağınız kadar bir alan var.Giysilerinizi koyacağınız dolabın kapağını açamazsınız mesela öyle bir alan yok. Dolabın kapağı yatağa çarpıyor çünkü. -Çekmecelerin içlerinde temizlenmemiş sakız çöpleri ve çeşitli toz grupları vs vardı… -Odalar çok eski.camı açmak için çaba sarfetmeniz gerekiyor. -Mini buz dolabı yok. (olmaması normal karşılanabilir) -Klima var. -Tuvalet konusunda biraz açık konuşmam gerekecek çünkü hijyen açısından önemli bir alan. Tuvalet taşı yerinden oynuyor. Oturamıyorsunuz. Çünkü lavabo ile neredeyse dipdibe. Diziniz lavaboya değiyor. -Taharet muslukları açılmıyor ( peçete gibi birşeyle açmanız gerekiyor o kadar sert. ) -Duş alanı yok. Klozetin hemen yanında açık bir alanda mevcut. Duş için perde var perdeyi çekince klozetle aynı kullanım alanı oluyor. Perde çok eski keza havlular dahi çok eski. Bütün boynum isilik gibi oldu ertesi gün. -Tuvaletin penceresi perdeli fakat kapatamıyorsunuz çünkü heryeri paslanmış. Neden pencereyi kapatmak istedim? Çünkü yan taraftaki oda ile muhabbet edeceğiniz kadar ince bir duvar var tuvaletler arasında. -Kahvaltısı işletmeden beklenene göre iyiydi. Mutfak çalışanlarının iyi olduğu çok belli. Ellerinize sağlık. -Otelin Kendine ait sadece 3 Araba için park alanı mevcut. Dolu olursa park edeceğiniz hiçbir alan yok. Aşırı dar , tek şerit ve dik bir sokağı olduğu için bu konuda sıkıntı yaşamanız mümkün.

-Konumu iyi fakat merkeze ulaşmak için uzun ve dik bir yokuş sizi bekliyor.

İşletmenin kesinlikle restore edilmesi gerekiyor. Sirkülasyon var ve iş yapıyor diye ilgilenilmeyen bir yer.

Ertesi gün sadece 200 lira fazla vererek ve merkezi konumda mükemmel bir butik otelde konakladım.Abartmıyorum gerçekten mükemmel bir oteldi.
