Bakirkoy Republic Square — Attraction in Bakırköy

This place has the features of military gatherings, however, it is now an important crossroad with access to Bakirkoy Marmaray station and plenty of bus and minibus lines. It is located on the North of Bakirkoy, an comparatively old destruct resided by many Armenian Christians. Fun shopping district that is far away from popular tourist areas and provides quaint shops, slightly different food options and the Carousel Mall was awesome! Bought some Samsonite merch, a cellphone, had lunch at the Mexican restaurant with an interesting take on nachos... not bad just interesting. Had some sahlep and variety of Baklava at Mado cos I MUST have sahlep...

This area is the best shopping area! It is the most affordable compared to many others that I have been to like Tuna, Istiklal etc. the area is extremely lively and the vibes are great. There are also many great cafes, restaurants and coffee houses that you’ll enjoy. I liked the small alleys so much, I tho o they’re perfect for photography. I’ll certainly be going back...
