This was a really fun place to visit with kids before we tried to do the sites of Istanbul. My kids left wanting to return to Turkiye/Turkey and wanting to travel to other cities, particularly Izmir. It was a bit hot and there wasn't much shade so it probably would have been perfect for us in a cooler season. The playground was fun although the slide was broken. I was also a bit surprised that there were additional fees for things I thought were included, like the hedge maze. As foreigners, we paid over $100 USD to enter so needing to pay extra for little things seemed a bit excessive when the little things weren't spectacular. There was also an indoor exhibit that was spectacular! Not sure how long that will be there. No one spoke English or Arabic (the two languages we speak) which made communication difficult but that's been true of our whole time here. The cafe was underwhelming. We ordered six waters initially and then asked him to change it to five but he wouldn't....it's not like they were opened or served, we just didn't want to take one bottled water from the kiosk and he insisted that we did. My husband also ordered tea and wanted a splash of milk with it. Even though there was an open container of milk on the counter, the man wouldn't give him milk in his tea because it was only for lattes. 😂 Oh well. Overall I'd definitely go again. My kids are 16, 13, 9 and 6 and surprisingly the two older ones enjoyed...

Read moreWe had such a fun time visiting Miniatürk with our kids! 🏛️👨👩👦👦 It’s a great spot if you’re traveling as a family, our boys really enjoyed identifying places we’ve visited in Turkey and seeing them in miniature form. It’s a fun and educational activity that sparked a lot of conversations.
🎟️ The entrance fee is very affordable, and we appreciated how smooth everything was , from parking (easy and convenient) 🚗 to walking around the grounds (very stroller- and kid-friendly) 🚶♀️👶. The layout is spacious, and there’s plenty of shade, which made it comfortable even on a sunny day ☀️🌳.
🗺️ Miniatürk is also a cool way to “travel” through Turkey in just a couple of hours. You’ll see everything from the Hagia Sophia to Mount Nemrut in mini scale!
🔥 If you’re visiting during summer, just know it gets very hot by midday. My best advice is to go early in the morning or later in the afternoon to enjoy it without the heat 🧃🕶️.
🍽️ There’s a small café on site for snacks and drinks, but if you’re looking for a proper meal afterward, we recommend heading to Balat or the Golden Horn area, just a short drive away. There are lots of nice local restaurants and waterfront spots with a view. 🧆🍴🌊
🎫 Tip: Go early to beat the crowds and enjoy it at your own pace. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in...
