Idyllic beaches and as many restaurants as your heart desires. I personally recommend see food with many fresh catches coming directly to the little iconic harbor.
There are many touristic attractions including hiking to the old mills and boat rides to see sealions.
My experience involved kayaking in the sea and a relaxed chill on the beach. The kayak was rented from a vendor at the beach and the beach had service with food and alcoholic beverages including cocktails.
One of the attractions for locals was a specific ice-cream vendor with a very long queue outside his shop. Well worth the wait with many flavors to choose from.
This area believe it or not is known for its olive oil rather than beaches by the locals. I didn't see anything advertised about olive oil but I'm sure you can find some anywhere in the little sea village.
You can reach Foça by train and a bus from Izmir and you really don't need a car to to see it. If you want to drink alcohol I highly recommend taking the train and bus.
There are many hotels in the area ranging from 3 - 5 stars.
If you are a rock climbing fanatic I recommend packing your gear. I noticed a few sick climbing spots but recommend asking for permission before...

Walking the shore in Foça is thus a true pleasure as you can daydream of sailing off in the beautiful boats dotting the seaside or envision yourself residing in one of the stately stone houses and Ottoman mansions that have a unique character, distinct to the region and its history of Greek inhabitants. A number of the impressive stone houses have since been transformed into boutique hotels, which also makes for a great way to stay in Foça and enjoy your holiday. The oldest structure in Foça itself is smack dab on the sea at the beginning of the town's center and is the Beşkapılar Fortress, which means five doors, a Byzantine fortress that was repaired by the Genoese in the 16th century and later the Ottomans and currently serves as an arts...
Read moreThis coastline is adorned with delicious restaurants and cafes, a castle that is lit up at night, lovely boats lazily docked along the edge of the walkway. You can walk the whole coastal border of Old Foça, as a nice path has been laid out. The view from the path and the view from the hill are gorgeous. The view would be made 10x better if the town could get the trash under control. There is a lot of trash flying and laying around, from what I assume is partially the breezes fault, non- existent lids on business trash cans, stray animals helping themselves and the occasional drop from a lazy...
