İçmeler Beach — Attraction in Marmaris

Over-built, most of it is for hotels. Maybe 2 spots for public, they are ok but not the best sand. The sand is dirty, trash noted all over (cigarettes, what makes smokers think the earth is their trash can?). The sea is calm, the view is great, not many waves, shallow grade, all good. Just a bit too built up and commercial. You get hassled to buy something every 10m. And revolting ads for "drag shows" assault your eyes, makes the place out like another trash-pile like Vegas, just a non-stop cash machine. Never mind the beauty all around, it's all about money. You're the prey, vendors are the predators, the game never ends. And this was low season (May2024), can't imagine what it's like in high season.

It is a very pretty beach.It has quite clean waters compared to other beaches with lots of excursions around.You can see many children and adults doing fun activities such as, jet-ski-ing,parasailing,speed boating,banana boat and much more.The reason I put it at 4 stars and not 5 is fairly because of how busy this beach gets and also due to the fact that there are free toilets but one person at a time for the entire beach.It is very good as it had free toilets,free WIFI and a free wash area.I really recommend this place for anyone that loves swimming,beaches,activities and more! Amazing beach front with. A great selection of bars and restaurants, some of the best sunrises you will see Beach is shingle rather than sand and the water shelves steeply so not good for non swimmers or children. All in all a great location for a chill out day, nothing like it's neighbour Marmaris which is chav city and is a bit of a dump. If you want quite authentic Turkish atmosphere and food icmeler beach is a great choice. Hopefully the bits don't cock this one up like so many other resort destinations.
