This was our second time visiting here and safe to say it will be out last. Countless amount of times the cleaners would walk into your room without knocking, they would come in at 8am expecting you to be at breakfast bang on time or would come into the room gone 4pm once I had just got out of the shower. They walked in while sleeping at 7:30am and even though they acknowledged we were asleep still awakened us. We left our key card in for the air conditioning while we went out for our tea, we later returned back to see the hotel owner or a cleaner had been into the room rooting around and to take the key card out of the room to cut off the air conditioning which we have PAYED £45 for the week, It then come to my knowledge that I had jewellery had gone missing from my jewellery box, luckily for myself I had only bought cheap jewellery with me but that was not the point. When we confronted them about the issue we was told “the cleaners had lost the spare key for the room” which made no sense what so ever as it was 1:30am the room had already been cleaned earlier that day and we had the room key with us. The next day we decided to leave it in again to see if the issue they claimed was true to only come back to the room later in the day to find the room had been cleaned and the key card was still left in the room by the cleaners. After that the hotel owner was what felt like avoiding us at all cost. They try to get you to leave your room key on the desk when you leave your room even if you are only going around the pool “for the cleaners” even though they have all spare keys with them to clean the rooms. The breakfast isn’t the best, so beware it is a Turkish breakfast however it is very representative and not suitable for the English tourist staying there. We went out for breakfast a couple of mornings, the orange juice from the machine is constantly broke and is never getting changed. There is no seating apart from one chair in the lobby for anyone to sit when they are leaving so you feel like you had to sit in the bar while waiting to get picked up by your transfer. The shop which is attached to the hotel is an absolute rip off. On our first day we went in there to buy a lighter for my partner and the women tried charging us 750lira for basic lighter. The prices in the bar are the same price as what you would pay at a restaurant/bar on the beachfront, however the old guy who works in the bar is a lovely gentleman and is the only genuine worker in there. The pool area is constantly full off the owners family/friends who bare in mind are not paying customers which is annoying as for paying customers you cannot get a sun lounger or have a peaceful swim in the pool. They also re-sell any left over toiletries/ cream and even inflatables bought from the shop left by guests at extortionate prices. Once you walk out of the hotel you getting nothing but mithered to either go into the bar or the kebab shop even at 12 o’clock at night they will mither you to go into and don’t like taking no for a answer. Honestly would recommend to avoid this hotel at all costs and would say to spend the extra and stay somewhere nicer. We are now recovering from a dreadful...
Read moreFirst time to Turkey/Türkiye for me and my wife had a 5-night stay B&B at Miray Hotel, was welcomed by John when we arrived easy check in, we had the option of quiet room or one opposite the bar we took the quiet room at the back of the hotel with pool view didn’t hear much noise from the bar across the road. The only thing you hear in the early morning for the prayers, but it didn’t really bother me as any hotel you go to would be the same.||When it came to the room small but basic that’s all you need, bed was ok we managed to sleep every night without no problems. Just a few problems with the room the shower hose was split probably before our stay when we took a shower on the first night. I did mention this to John the next day, John said it would be fixed but wasn’t during our 5 nights, so a lukewarm shower and a leaking shower hose all week.||Cleanliness to the room was ok think one day they didn’t change the towels but other than that they restocked toilet roll and removed all rubbish.||Bed and breakfast food not much choice but hot trays changed day by day they had the selection fried eggs, boiled eggs omelettes mix, wedges, Salad buffet you have a selection of meat (liver sausage) and cheeses, salad choices olives etc etc, bread and French bread. Juice machine tea coffee if needed.||First night when we arrived, we stayed for a quick snack at restaurant bar outside, but you are literary 5 mins walk to the beach and restaurants and bars only a few mins away we ate out most nights.||Swimming pool I went in there once for 15 minutes of my stay as it felt like I was in the water, it felt like my heart exploded like the titan submersible, so we decided to spend more time on the beach instead of using the hotel pool.||They have a small shop next door if you need anything but one day might be same price and another more, you’re not far from the supermarkets around 10 mins walk where you can get everything you need. ||Meet the owner Omar very nice friendly guy all staff are nice would I go back again yes we would, as you have...
Read moreHOME AWAY FROM HOME! Just arrived back in the U.K (sadly) from an 8 night stay at the Miray Hotel. We arrived around 11pm Tuesday night to be greeted by Roman who was very accommodating! Making sure our rooms were next to each other and explaining the hotel rules etc. The next day we were greeted by Jan who again could not do more to ensure you were happy whilst staying at the Miray, always smiling in the morning ready for anything you need. Roman and Jan will go above and beyond every time and we will truly miss these 2! We also met Omer the hotel manager who clearly has years of experience and really made us feel like part of his family! Omer takes an interest in all of his guest ensuring to say good morning and good night, making sure everyone is happy whilst staying at his hotel. Staff are 10/10 they couldn’t have done more to make us feel more comfortable! Rooms are beautiful and have all the essentials you need! Nice big balcony which was shaded during parts of the day which helped keeping the room cool without over using the air conditioning. Lovely clean pool at the back of the hotel which is shaded during parts of the day but they have a sun bed area which is in the sun all day for those wanting to tan. On top of all the positives breakfast is also included between 8am - 10am which consists off fruits, toasts, meats, pastries, cheeses, eggs, coffee, juices and more! They have a restaurant as well which serves food all through-out the day where we had lunch everyday. Location is perfect being surrounded by shops and restaurants and a 2 minute walk from the main strip of Icmeler. The beach is also a short walk round the side of the hotel with lots of bars and cafes across the strip, if you buy 1 drink in any of the bars you get free access to sunbeds, Wi-Fi and toilets! For the price we paid for the holiday you will not find a better hotel. I would highly recommend staying at the Miray hotel it will not disappoint! Hope to see the guys...
