Completely full of BS... beach & sunshine!!!!    👍👍👍☀️⛱️🏖️ We visited multiple days via the Sapodilla Bay Beach Parking & had the beach to ourselves both times!!! During our December 2018 trip, this beach was quiet & practically empty!   There was some tourist activity on the far Northern end by Spookman's, but on the south end, by the "secret" public parking, we had the beach all to ourselves. The water was as calm & as clear as it gets.  We waded out 50-100ft, with the water never getting above waist high.   We saw multiple sting rays.  During our first visit, an extremely nice stray dog decided to hang out with us.  The next day, he cheated on us, so I found a rooster to be my friend. Not sure if the party atmosphere mentioned in recent reviews has taken over, or if those are isolated events.   If they are the norm now, that is a shame, because this was one of the most peaceful places we visited during our Turks vacation.

We stayed in the neighborhood accessing Sopadilla Beach. We were excited to be able to access the beach privately and enjoy the incredible warm, shallow water! We were not disappointed by the beach itself at all. The crystal clear water is like being in a spa. People just lay around, chatting and floating, soaking in the sunshine. Sounds idyllic… until… the umbrella area erupts into a nightclub with foul music and wafting marijuana. I love good music and don’t mind people enjoying their weed but at a public beach, with children present, the blaring, graphic cursing was enough to make us not return to this beach. We opted to drive up the peninsula a bit more to Taylor Bay Beach. Trust me, if a quiet, peaceful, tranquil experience is what you are looking for, stay away from Sopadilla Bay Beach unless you go super early in the morning or for the sunset!

An amazing beach and totally worth driving across the island, especially if you have children! Water is quite shallow, especially at low tide. Not quite as shallow as Taylor Bay Beach, but similar in most other aspects. You can rent umbrellas, chairs, kayaks, paddle boards, and jet skis. Water is relatively calm, especially if it's not too windy. The beach is somewhat narrow due to beach houses all along it, but our 2 days at that beach there were a maximum of 30 people on the beach at any given time. If you rent a jet ski or kayak you can also go around the edge of the bay and explore a sunken/overturned ship! Snorkeling is limited to the far edge of the bay along the rock cliffs. This beach is best for people looking for beautiful, clear, mostly calm and shallow water with clean/soft sand.

It is located on a back road and you have to park alongside the road and walk down a alley way-- yes it looks shady.

BUT it is worth it. While there are some young adults, it is excellent for families that want peace of mind. It is different from Grace Bay where everyone is doing their own thing -- at Sapodilla, I could literally relax and have a drink knowing other adults were looking out for each other kids. We basically swapped in and out of the water, my daughter was able to meet children from all over and they were all playing together within five minutes of arrival like they have known each other for years. The villas are beautiful (and quite pricey once I looked them up) and the guest were passing out frozen drinks. We had drinks, waddled, (bring floaties), ate and did Jetskiis. While Grace has the gorgeous T&C water, this is where you want to be if you have...
