From grocerries, spices to fresh farm produce(Our version of farmers market), to clothes for women, men and children inclusive. Coming in all sizes and all shapes. Shoes are a must here. No lets say, durable shoes are a must here. They are usually second hand items but trust me they are worth your price if youre looking for something to last you a year or so. Owino market also known as St Balikudembe market has a place for prayer for the catholics and a nearby mosque for the muslims. However like any busy place, be aware of thieves pick pocketers, motor bike accidents and walking through a congested place without security. (Well I Have never seen any police officer that side so what can I say.?) For those who import their goods, there are plenty of stores to pick your items from. A while ago there was salabed- you would have to ask around to see if they relocated after the fire burnt down the place. Public transport is easily acccesible when you're down there. Just ask around people are hospitable enough to direct you wherever you want to go. But like I said before.... beware "smart" young adults are everywhere. If you are looking for huge, outstanding cookware. This is the place to go. They have this commonly known longlasting saucepan known as Dongolo. And ofcourse cooking stoves of all kinds. Let me share with you my last week's story.....Dear Reader, I have grown up going to Owino market but I still get lost....🤣🤣🤣. Yes, you read it right bro!. Last week I entered that market to shop for my monthly food and I had marked my entrance so well with a Red piece of cloth which I tied up on a piece of wood by the entrance. Guys!, I went deeper into the market and bought everything I needed on my shopping list. It was now time to exit. I moved around trying to locate my way out to the nearest park(Towards Ham Shopping mall-This mall is opposite the New taxi park) but do you know where I came out through?! My a$$ came through Kafumbe Mukasa Road and had to walk back like for 20 minutes to New Taxi park!. I laughed at myself and told me that I still haven't mastered the art of OWINO MARKET up to date!. So be vigilant while inside there and Don't lose Track like I did!....
