Dolphin Park in Abu Dhabi is an excellent destination for people of all ages, including children and pets. It offers wonderful outdoor spots for cycling, BBQ, and walking. However, there are a few aspects that the Abu Dhabi City Municipality could consider improving:
Restrooms
Importance : Restrooms are a basic necessity for visitors, especially for families with children, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities. Suggestion : Installing restrooms at regular intervals along the park's stretch would greatly improve the visitor experience.
Drinking Water Outlets
Importance : Access to drinking water is essential, especially in Abu Dhabi's hot climate. Suggestion : Increasing the number of drinking water outlets throughout the park would ensure visitors stay hydrated.
Free Wi-Fi
Importance : Free Wi-Fi can enhance the visitor experience, allowing people to share their experiences on social media or access information about the park. Suggestion : Providing free Wi-Fi near learning and wellness nodes would be particularly beneficial.
Distance Markers
Importance : Clear distance markers can help visitors plan their route and understand the park's layout. Suggestion : Displaying distances in kilometers on information boards would provide visitors with a better understanding of the park's size and layout.
Sculptures and Cultural Displays
Importance : Cultural displays and sculptures can showcase Abu Dhabi's heritage and culture, making the park more engaging and educational. Suggestion : Developing selfie spots and other interactive displays would allow visitors to engage with the park's cultural aspects in a fun way.
QR Code Information
Importance : QR codes can provide visitors with easy access to information about the park's features and attractions. Suggestion : Using QR codes near footbridges and other points of interest would allow visitors to scan and learn more about the park's features.
Cat Feeding Spots
Importance : Providing feeding spots for cats would demonstrate compassion and care for animals. Suggestion : Installing drinking bowls and possibly feeding stations would be a thoughtful gesture for cat lovers and caregivers.
Information about Marine Life
Importance : Educating visitors about the marine ecosystem can foster appreciation and conservation efforts. Suggestion : Providing information about the fish and other marine life in the mangroves would enhance the park's educational value and encourage visitors to learn more about the local ecosystem.
By addressing these aspects, Dolphin Park can become a more enjoyable, educational, and visitor-friendly...
Read moreDolphin park situated on the salam street near the pineapple towers is a very big open lush green space along the Al gurm corniche mangroves. The long stretch of water front and mangroves in the background adds to the beauty of the park. The park has a very big fountain pond with four dolphins spurting out high pressure water jets from their mouth. The park is named after this dolphin fountain. There is a kids play area and a basket ball court. Concrete stands are installed at several places for barbeque. Separate rest rooms for gents and ladies are located at the extreme end of the park opposite to the pineapple towers. There are food trucks serving pizza and other food items. The park is crowded by families and groups who spent evenings in nature and some do barbeque while others bring food from home. As the park has natural grass, suggest to carry mats, chairs and tables to sit. The park is open to public 24X7 and has security round the clock. The beauty of this park is the long walking and cycling track along the mangroves which has stunning views as you walk along during the morning and evenings. It is a perfect place to unwind and relax with your family and friends. Ample parking space is available in the park. A morning walk in the park is so blissful and calming for your mind and soul. It's an ideal place to get peace of mind...
Read moreTerrible experience Visited here with family on eid holidays. It said 24 hr open park. And we were barbequing chicken in the alloted space at the park. At the end when we were almost finishing preparing the food, the water sprinklers near us started spraying water all around us, spoiling all our food and making all of us wet. Even the 3 year old small kid got wet. All of the food we prepared was wasted because of the water splashed on it( sprinklers use treated sewage water, so we couldn't use the food anymore). We all got really sad because we were all hungry and our food got wasted, all the efforts got wasted and our time, money was also wasted. The saddening part was sprinklers only on the area where we were barbequing was turned on, other parts were not turned on. This happened around 11pm at night. Not even the park security guards warned us about this, this could be totally avoided if we had known this beforehand. The guards told us this is automated, but we dont know for sure. So I would suggest people to be cautious of water sprinklers when you are out on this park barbequeing.
Aesthetic vise the park was good, I really enjoyed the ambience before this...
