We went this evening (a Saturday night) and frankly it was a horrifying experience! Our evening started off nice. A friend and I took our children to one of the restaurants and we had a very nice time. Service and food were great. Afterwards, we decided to take the children to the playground. As we walked to the playground we noticed that most of the park patrons were teenage boys and girls. Hardly any parents. Many of them were rude; not respectful towards adults. If you don’t move out of their way they will either walk right into you, or ride their electric scooters into you. We sat on the bench outside of the playground to watch our children play when suddenly about 20 very tall teenage boys started arguing. Then a fist fight broke out. They were punching each other. They nearly fell on us. My daughter started to shout for me from inside of the playground as she could see what was happening. It was a horrible experience. I yelled for security. Security presence was weak, although I don’t think security can handle this. I think this problem requires police and park management to be present. I remember the days when families used to picnic on the lawns on Friday and Saturday night, but now it’s overrun with unruly teenagers. What a nightmare! Please bring the families back! Families uphold order and will make the place safe again. Where are the parents? Please make Sheikha Fatima Park a family place again. It deserves better than this and so do we. Park management needs to find a solution to make this place safe again...
Read moreMaybe I had high expectations for this park. I was disappointed when we got there. We have been there few times now at different times of the year. The play area of kids could have been bigger compared to the other things they have there. Especially when the splash area is closed during winter months, there is not much area for the kids to play ( especially during busy times). Most of the space is dedicated to coffee shops. The slide is always in a broken condition. I believe this park is dog friendly. I don't have a dog and whenever I have been there, I have never seen one around. It's nice to have more dog friendly parks. There should be more green grassy area for the kids to play around. There are two areas that I have seen. One is available anytime but the other one is cordorned off for small business with kids activities. It's a waste of that area especially when there is no activity going on. There is also a space or skateboarding. The space that currently has padel board courts could be reduced to one court and the rest used for more green area with trees or a kids playground. I have never seen anyone use those paddel courts ever. Seems like a...
Read moreThis is a Scam Parking... forced me to pay 160dhs for 2hrs
Please be AWARE... I am raising for all to be aware because I feel that the Parking Management is unfair to charge me 160/-Dhs for 2hr parking and the parking attendant refused to raise this concern to his management and would not allow me to exit the parking lot without paying the full amount. Paying 160/-dhs for 2hrs of parking is unheard of... the ticket does mention that there is an overnight parking fee of 150/-dhs ...but I did not park the car overnight. I parked the car at 10:07pm... and tried to exit at 12:03 am.... but the parking machine was giving a card reader error.. By the time the parking attendant came he informed me that this is because I need to pay 150/- as the time passed midnight... Even by 1 minute I would still have to pay the 150/-dhs charge as stated in the back of the...
