Well I would like to say that I had the opportunity to share my experience of staying on this site, but I can't. My low rating is based on the issue of disloyalty to customer care, as we had booked to stay here on the 5th September 2020. This booking was made after having our holiday to Spain cancelled due to co-vid. This was to be our only and main holiday, and after spending countless evenings looking for a campsite we liked we found this one and booked it. Two weeks prior to holiday we was told that they were cancelling our holiday and refunding us...their words were "We are having to cancel you for reasons we can't say, but you'll find out in the media", as if we were supposed to be excited about it. Sure enough we found out in the media that it was due to I'm a Celebrity Get Me out Of Here being filmed this year in Wales, and no doubt offered the campsite a hearty price tag that couldn't be turned down! "Who wouldn't?" some people might say. Sure, I get it, if someone offers enough money it can make people act in an inappropriate way, but I felt disgusted that no consideration had been given to all those that had booked on this site. So my heart goes out to all who booked on this site and have had their holidays destination cancelled not due to co-vid or any other viable or important reason but just simply because money talks!!! If I was the owner of this campsite I too may have taken up the offer from ITV crew but I would've also said it was conditional in that they should offer to pay off those that were booked on the site to stay somewhere else. I'm sat here typing this review sat in my awning on the only other campsite that could take us that was as nice, but only to find ourselves miles inland with no sea view and no rolling hills that we were looking forward to having. Just nice hedges. Thanks very much Manorafon Farm Park, hope it was worth it. P.s:- I didn't want to have to write this review but you had plenty opportunity to put it right...
Read moreI attend a party as a support along side a parent as the child we were bringing has additional needs.Firsty I had to purchase an additional ticket at full price. We tried to contact the farm by phone numerous times on different days leading up to the party & was constantly met with an answering machine.I then sent a message by Facebook. As I didn't get an initial response that day, felt I had to just purchase a full price ticket for fear of the farm being busy with the weather being so nice and not getting one on the gate.I received a message the following day confirming I could purchase a carers ticket on gate as long as i provide evidence of DLA or carers allowance. It was to late by then as ticket been purchased. We arrived at the farm & unfortunately the child was too over stimulated & overwhelmed we only stayed 15mins in the party tent.I cannot understand your policy around parents with children who have additional needs needing to purchase any sort of ticket if they attend party. Its hard enough for parents with children who need extra support to attend parties and functions & I'm sure there are many parents who would love to be able to attend such things without needing extra support from another adult. But in the real world that isn't possible for some. Not all parents are award DLA or Carers Allowance, or are waiting on outcomes & if they are in receipt of carers, they are probably not working or have very little income. No award of either of these benefits does not take away a child's disability. I think you really need to look at your policy around this & I feel that your not inclusive at all for an attraction that you advertise as family attraction. If you are choosing to attend just on a normal family day out, then yes adults should pay, but for a party I don't believe that this should be the case. I would not recommend anyone to have a party there if a child with disabilities is...
Read moreIt would've been a good experience if they paid more attention to details. The online organisation, advertising of their website and Google entry leave something to be desired of. You go to "Plan your visit" page. You can't click through to each event. The upcoming events are not updated frequent enough. DURING the end of October half term, it still says dates TBC and the same with a couple of days to go to Bon Fire night (it's 4 Nov today!). Still TBC! With the Christmas event, it says £22 for 0-15 year olds. Then, another paragraph says 0-11 month olds is free. Now, is it free for under 1 or £22? Ridiculous really! Whoever maintains the website hasn't got half a brain! With the snack bar and facilities page, it says 'view menu here'. Where is it? Worst of all, Google said open until 5pm yesterday (a Sunday during half term). I went with wife and our 2-year-old. We turned up just after 2pm. It all shut!!! On their notice board in front of the car park, it says open at weekends 10am until 4pm, last admission 3pm. Car park gate was closed off. No cars in there. Good job a 2-year-old doesn't know any better. Other older children would've been really disappointed. NOTHING, I mean NOTHING mentioned about early closure on their website or Google. I suppose if their webmaster doesn't care about details on the website, why would they care anything on Google or other places online? These days, those are the places where people find information. Get it sorted!!! For your own good. Is it because it's like a family run farm/business so they do whatever heck...
