Clean, welcoming, and superb customer service from this little independent cafĂ©/coffee shop. What makes it a two star? The coffee. Due to being on holiday, I was several days into fasting from my daily dose of freshly ground espresso, mixed with a small amount of steamed milk. Imagine my giddy excitement as I walked through the streets of Abergele only to espy an unassuming yet inviting looking cafĂ©. As I approached the brightly coloured, inviting signage and large glass window that floods the interior with a warm glow I noticed the espresso machine proudly atop a counter. âYes!â My inner self shouted. âI reckon this place will serve a decent coffee.â I entered the cafĂ© and was warmly greeted by a young woman who took my order of âtwo flat whitesâ - ÂŁ3 each, so not too far off those corporate big chain prices. My expectations grew massively as she employed some of the best customer service techniques I have witnessed in a long time. The coffee came with a complimentary biscuit, which was a lovely addition, however, the poor coffee!! It was like there was a party in my mouthâŠ. but everyone was being sick! Bitter, yet under-extracted and thin. It seemed like the coffee, not only being cheap, had probably gone stale. It was truly one of the worst âespresso machine, brewed coffeeâ I had had in years. I returned the coffees and begrudgingly gave the lovely staff member my critique. I left full of disappointment and empty of coffee. If this little shop buys some decent beans and learns how to brew a great coffee, itâd absolutely be a five star place! Ultimately, for me, it was the disappointment that stung. Iâm genuinely still lamenting...

We came here looking for a cafe in town to grab a drink and have a rest - it was a shame to walk past all of the closed-down ones but glad that this one was still going. Great décor with a few tables with benches and chairs and a window table with her stools across the front. Seats outside in the back too. We got a couple of £9 veggie breakfasts minus the eggs and a peppermint tea each. They have loads of loose leaf tea available and the usual coffee variations but not sure if they had any plant milk for them; pot of tea was nice though at £2.75. Guy behind the counter was lovely and very helpful too. We've come past here a number of times and never made it in but, after today, we'll definitely be...
