Came here for a quick breakfast before visiting Gwrych Castle. Found this cafe after a Google search. The food was delicious, we ordered 1 vegetarian breakfast and 1 Roots breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place. I also had a fresh lemon and ginger tea and they actually used fresh lemon and ginger which not a lot places do. The vegetarian sausages were really tasty. Service was fast and friendly :)

Wonderful little stop for lunch on the way through the north coast of Wales. The service was excellent, even offering a few nice spots to visit in and around Llanberis. Food was 10/10 freshly cooked and the atmosphere was a relaxed environment. Reasonably priced.

The lady who served us was lovely, although rushed off her feet with customers, which made the wait time for a drink slightly longer than average. The food was gorgeous! I would definitely recommend. Shame we don't live closer, I'd eat here all the time.

Called in today for a light lunch with my Mother. We both ordered the Broccoli and kale soup. However we both found it to be very bland and tasteless and one of the worst soups I’ve ever tasted. One of the nice friendly waitresses immediately returned our soups to the kitchen after we both expressed our dissatisfaction and we stated we did not want them. We both had a ploughman’s sandwich instead which was very tasty but on the small size for the price. We also had two pots of tea,a Latte and One crumble dessert.

The bill came to £28!!!

Which is a fortune for what we had and the waitress explained that her boss had told her to still charge us for one of the soups even though we had both only had a spoonful out of each bowl before complaining immediately. My mother paid the waitress and we left feeling really ripped off and disappointed. We have both visited the cafe many times over the years and previously enjoyed the food. I don’t believe we should have been charged for something we didn’t eat especially as we did order alternatives.

We will never been setting foot into Roots Cafe Abergele...

After about 5 visits over the last few years (mobike service twice a year at local dealer) it's time to review.. always had friendly helpful staff Eggs benny is fave and cooked just right with runny yokes, Smoothies are not to everyone's liking but tbh I love em as they always go random with names.. funky monkey will wake you up smartish with a dash of caffeine for any coffee freaks Always clean, always friendly although it does get busy at times so be prepared for the normal wait..after all, the food is being cooked fresh and to order Seating next to windows so you get to just watch the world go by..currently it's chucking it down but the atmosphere is homely and...

A cafe with a difference for me. No faulting the staff, who are smiley, and friendly. The menu covers everyone, and is well 'signed', with variety for us carnivorous, veggies, and the vegans. Might just be me, some of the drinks are plant based, coconut milk, etc, instead of dairy, if you prefer. Smoothies, fruit teas, 'normal' teas, variety of coffees, including local! I had the Roots breakfast, which cost over £8, but filled the plate, until I got my choppers going! Their 'eggs ben', was also a good size. Dining is available, inside, and out. And spotless. Will be...
