Went today with my family after a planned trip to the zoo was cancelled due to the weather. So that's me, my partner, 11 y.o. 5 y.o and baby in pram. Booked this morning, great that you can book even on the day, bad point so expensive! Booked for both courses. We turnt up at 10am. So quiet, I dont believe anyone else was there yet. So perfect. We started downstairs, all going well. 2nd course is upstairs..... well no access except via the stairs 🙄 so we had to carry the pram up the stairs! What about people with disabilities? Or conditions that affect their mobility? Upstairs is sweating hot! Heaters were on and blowing hot air at us, horrid. It then started to get very busy, but we finished the course then had to carry the pram back down the stairs. A few bits broken around the courses. Toilets had just been cleaned. ☑ We stayed for food and drinks, lady behind the bar was lovely, friendly and explained there will be a wait for the food. (It wasnt as long as we expected in the end) only they hadn't paid any attention to the sauces I ordered when asked. Then it was very awkward from this moment on. The waitress was so over friendly with my baby, cooing over him, talking to him whilst I had him on my lap and food was at the table so I felt I couldn't eat my food as she was hovering over the table. Then kept coming back, we quickly ate up and went to leave but then she made a beeline for him again and stopped me going, held his hand kept asking if she could take him as he was so cute and smiley, in the end my partner and children were at the door and I was still stood by the table. Dont get me wrong, I really dont mind people paying my baby attention, infact he loves it! But it was just so over the top, awkward and intrusive, holding his hand and not letting me leave. Overall, we enjoyed our games. But I just think for the money, and the short time you spend there... I'm not sure it's worth it. 2 games, over £40! Which took less than 90mins. Then another £40 plus for food and drinks and still home by lunch time. I really dont mind spending £40/£80 on a family day out but not for 2hours including food. We still had the rest of the day to entertain...
Read moreI would like to begin this review by saying it was amazing. From the courses available and the customer experience. Definitely felt inviting and moreover enjoyable. I would recommend to anyone who wants to get into crazy golf but unfortunately not something I would very much recommend for those who want to have crazier courses. A lot were decorative and fun at first glance but over the time a lot of these platforms felt the same which is disappointing. To add with that disappointment, some of the mechanic's were not very functional and I say this in regards to achieving the goal. In your game you will find a ball may suddenly change direction when the surface area is seeming flat or gets stuck due to either poor maintence or layout.
Arguing so you may come to the conclusion the rating should be lower but some of the platforms did make it all the more fun and there were some really creative concepts like the ferris wheel. While to further add as said briefly the staff were amazing, the young lady that definitely shown kindness and patience for us guys who had taken a long time thanks to one of our friends not arriving on time. The bar team were great and so was the lady I spoke to quickly before moving onto our next course. While can I just mention they are passionate to their role here as clear sense of humor and easy going behaviour is present which will help improve the success here in a long run.
For improvements in the long run, the business should allow each individual to have one ball each since this should speed up the process of the courses in larger groups. Also, it's a bit akward as in the final track where the balls get tacken after u pot it because people last in the list will not being able to complete that final stage since all golf balls are taken by the track. However additionally would like more creative tracks which are functional so the ball doesn't fly into the bar area like ours did on the fairground course.
For anyone who is interested in participating with this stores crazy golf I recommend you leave at least 2 hours if u plan to do 2 courses with more...
Read moreWe went here yesterday for my granddaughter 7th birthday, the golf was brilliant, and highly recommend for all ages - although we had to put up with a member of staff following us around while we played - which as a family outing was a little weird having staff wanting to join us. (little too friendly - as she seem to hang on to our group) We ordered food in between playing the two rounds that's when things went really bad. The food was dear, the order was missing items, the salad was so old I would not have fed it to a rabbit. Half way though eating our lunch - which was edible, my granddaughter went to the toilet to come back to find her dinner had dirty plates placed on top of her pizza, we questioned this and the dirty plates were removed excepting her to eat her pizza - don't think so, leaving a 5 year old in tears and hungry, offering her a balloon to play with instead. We complained and was told we could have a soft drink as an apology. Joke! By now we were very upset by the customer service and decided that we didn't want to do the second round of golf asked if we could have a refund on the second round and was told no we don't do refunds, a member of staff went and told a manager I would like to see them to discuss the food issues and the manager Sam didn't even come out to speak to us sending a member of staff to do their job. My experience of this visit was upsetting and never to be repeated again. All members of staff need to under go a full customer service training - the manager Sam needs to have full managerial training in dealing with staff and customer issues. I travelled 2 hours drive for this day with my family I would have never drove 5 minutes to this place. Although I would try other indoor golf places. (without having food)
Plus I really do feel this place would benefit from having a lift as it is not pushchair or wheel chair friendly, or anyone who can't take stairs misses out...
