Stopped here really late on an audax, had to get of rd as I was really tired! (Safety) had a nap on a bench for an hour or two, after resting started to make a coffee. Until the chap who emptys the bin, Rudely interrupted me too accuse me of camping and asked me to leave. Was an all together naff experience! Tact is something you can't buy I suppose! Not one person walking there dog seemed to have a problem with me making a hot drink before setting off. I left no litter and the area I stopped at was cleaner after I left because I'd binned rubbish that was already there! Picnics ok ? Sunbathing? Skateboarding etc. But stop to rest and make coffee and everyone loses their minds!!

It's a great park. You can have a pleasant stroll around. There are Facilities for children, a cafe, a toilet, fishing lakes and quite a large area to walk/run. Park run is usually held here. There are flat areas and some steep inclines. The area is well maintained with general litter bins and dog bins scattered around. The council usually supplies bags for dog's mess, these are situated near the car parking area. My only concern with this park is that there are less busier areas where you can feel vulnerable, so when the park is quieter it's best to stay near the busier areas (the children's park and cafe area).

Northlands Park is a hidden gem in Basildon! The park is beautifully maintained with plenty of open green spaces, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing walk or a family picnic. The large lake is a highlight, attracting a variety of wildlife, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. There’s also a great playground for kids, which my little ones absolutely loved. The park feels safe and welcoming, and there's ample parking nearby. Whether you're looking for a quiet escape in nature or a place to let the kids run around, Northlands Park has something for everyone. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

I grew up near northlands Park so it's close to my heart. In terms of facilities; café with toilets that seems to be open most of the year. Children's playground (fenced). Skate ramps. Fenced football/basketball court. Free parking. Excellent venue for sledging when it snows. Open space for football or kite flying. Two fishing lakes (cafe lake is the 'match' anglers lake but still lots of carp and numerous double figure fish to over 20lb. Road lake is specimen lake with at least one carp that regularly weighs over 30lb). Good pike and bream fishing also. Seems to have host numerous events during the course of the year. Only let down is it does occasionally attract a bit of crime and the wrong kind of people but I dare say most days you would never...

Northlands Park is a great park plotted in the middle of several large estates in Basildon, with rolling hills and a 2 very good fishing lakes, Northlands offers something for everyone.

There's a skate park for the teenagers, 2 parks one for little ones and a larger park for all the big kids, football pitches, a great walking path all the way round and it's perfect for sledging in the winter.

This site also has a Car Park and Cafe selling hot drinks and snacks, in the Summer of course you can also buy an assortment of lovely Ice Creams!!

Great for fishing and the lakes are BOTH full of Carp, there are 2 lakes a professional lake and a more amateur lake for a bit of fun, perfect for course fishing and a little fun on those warm...
