Went for a walk in Royal Victoria Park this morning. A great park which is well stocked with numerous plants, flowers and trees. There is limit parking on the roads surrounding the park where you can get upto 3hrs free parking. Failing that there is plenty of fee paying parking within the park itself. We did 3 and a half laps today and found several quiet areas which included a large pond. There is a vast children's play area at the lower end of the park which will keep the young active and amused. There are several toilet blocks as well. We witness a larger group of volunteers receiving instructions for the numerous plants, bulbs and shrubs they had with them. Will visit again as you can easily mix up your routes as you navigate the many small and hidden paths. There are a few huts which appear ready to serve tea and coffe , well which were not open, This is a dog friendly park which appeared to be supported by many 4 legged visitors and their owners. Amazing place to visit and relax. There you'll find a massive playground for children and skate park. Little cafe with seats inside and outside to enjoy your coffee/tea/juice with a little treat. Toilets on the site (you'll need 20p for that). During warm months an ice-cream van comes around and you will observe a long queue waiting to get their cold treat😁. Opposite the playground you'll find a pond with ducks and seagulls waiting for people to share their bread, grains or other treats with them. Above further you'll find a massive field, which is used by people to walk around, for picnics, family little events, relaxing. In a case of bigger events like a circus performance or family fair this field is also used for the purpose.
