Trip to the Fond du Lac's botanical gardens

The Bath Botanical Gardens are a lovely place to spend an hour or two. Levelled, with smooth paths, it's wheelchair and pram friendly. Across the year you can enjoy diverse plants, but also the squirrels who come really close to you. There is a little coffee/tea seller too. Children may be lucky to find hidden some painted rocks regularly put there by locals for their benefit. Parking spaces can regularly be found around the gardens, so very easy access for people with limited mobility. For those who love nature, you van continue your walk across the road, on the North side, to the Dell, another park consisting mainly of trees. Definitely one of my top 3 places to go for a stroll when I have an hour to spare.

Well worth a visit at any time of year. Visited in late February & there was a good display of crocus, primroses & snowdrops. There are hard-surfaced paths all the way around, so you can push buggies & wheelchairs quite easily. Very well maintained borders with lots of interest. There is a small hut that sells hot drinks & snacks, but this was closed when we visited. Some nice views of Bath through the trees. Toilets are further into the Royal Park and there is a children's play area across the road from the Gardens. Nearest parking is on street to the North of the site, which is free for 1 hour. There are also designated disabled bays. Free entry & dogs are allowed.

Beautiful Victorian gardens with magnificent trees, water features and ornamental bridges; an oasis of calm not far from the city centre. Very well kept, with good paths and benches to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Wonderful in October when the colours are at their finest. The Great Dell, a repurposed former quarry with a wooded trail, is worth a quick look while visiting. There's a café just outside Royal Victoria Park, though I'd avoid the toilet facilities - there's a 20p charge (contactless accepted) and several cubicles were out of use due to damage.

Pretty but not really a botanical garden and a bit disappointing if I’m completely honest, it’s mostly trees and barely any flowers. I’ve been to many gardens and this has to take the bottom spot, thankfully no tickets are needed! It’s a lot smaller than it’s made out to be in pictures- we walked around the whole thing in about 25 minutes, and that includes stopping for pictures multiple times. It’s close by to the Royal Crescent and worth stopping by if you’re passing but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here

It is a lovely park to walk through. Particularly in the autumn with all the different shades of leaves and the frost. Lots of beautiful flowers I wish I'd of taken more photos. Was a very quiet area after considering how busy the town centre was. There was not very many people that decided to venture up that far which is their loss. It was a very calming way to end the day. It was also very clean and well maintained. Not much litter about which is always a bonus.
