Pope was right when he said' only fools go where angels fear to tread'... and the fools are those who have no respect for the exquisite wild bluebells that grow in this meadow. It was sad to see sections of the bluebells trodden over. Please keep to the paths to enjoy these protected wildflowers...Pope's meadow is dog-friendly and has a delightful play area for the little ones.

Short forest walk with free car park. Quite muddy at the moment with all the recent rain, not lit at all so not a good place to walk at night, but still a good 10/15 minute quick circuit. Small playground near car park, and small lake also. Plenty of bins and lots of squirrels for dogs to chase.

First visit, very pleasant short walk in wooded area around small lake ... Patches of bluebells (seen here through a fence into the area next to the meadow) ... And a play area for children means we'll probably visit again with grandchildren

A historical meadow, I go there almost daily. Some days with my kids because it has a very reasonably sized walk, perfect for little legs, and a fantastic children's playground. My kids love it there and so do I.

The home of Alexander pope (the poet), it even has signs in the park to help you teach your kids who he is and to learn some famous quotes from his poetry! He wrote a lot of his poetry walking the fields here.

As well as fields, there is a pretty little pond and some woodland.

Go and see it for yourself! You won't be...

A much loved piece of local countryside that is perfect for walks, dog walking or just general relaxation when the sun is shining.

There is ample parking and various places to sit dotted around the park.

To the side of the car park is a small sports field that is used by local groups and is also a picnic hot spot.

If you continue down to the bottom of Popes Meadow and exit (left) on to Murrell Hill Lane you can make your way to the Bluebell woods...

Great little park with a pond with ducks, good paved areas around the entirety of the park so good pram and wheelchair access. A great little park for toddlers there also and a big bit of green for people to play sports. Plenty of spaces. Can get quite busy so do check on google as there have been times where spacing is limited and the park is full. Great place to take children and...
