Great park to visit, free to enter as it's a public park that has lots of history, even dating back to the Iron Age. You can still see the remains of the Roman road to get cuts through the park and the original away from the late 1800s through to WW1 and WW2 training grounds and firing range. Lots of wildlife and streams. Lakes there is plenty to do and see for all ages. There are two playground areas and a visitors centre, golf course and boating lake and places to eat. Great for walks leading from Banners gate to Sutton Gate entrances and many more along the way. Banners Gate has a main free carpark and playground with a small coffee shop, but their prices are very expensive. For example, a 500ml bottle of Pepsi Max £2.80 outside Banners gate entrance there are public bike hire

We were revisiting Sutton park after almost 7years. Thistle plan was to explore park by cycling. It was absolutely wonderful experience and brought back so many memories during our visit to this National park. I'm sure there it could be made better for cyclists to have cycle trails or paths highlighted clearly. Town gate entrance was busy with plenty of kids in play area. Riverside restaurant looked awesome and views near the lakes were breathtaking. Planning another trip sometime and explore areas that we haven't covered before. Great park and very tranquil peaceful environment. Highly highly recommend for walks and cycling.

I’ve loved this place since I was a young child! The walk within the woodlands, the railway below, the lake and bridges to then seeing the lake again from the other side! A gorgeous place to visit! It’s just such a shame that people do not respect the place and drop rubbish! Maybe more bins are needed for those lazy folk! 🙏🏼 Thank you for being accessible and the free parking!

This looks like a beautiful and relatively quiet place in the park but sadly it's ruined by a lot of aggressive dog owners who have their untrained dogs off lead who become aggressive and confrontational towards you telling you their dog won't hurt your dog when you pick up your own dog to stop them from being attacked. They try to initiate a confrontation and become more angry when they are ignored and you simply walk away. They can't and don't want to even try to control their dogs and they certainly do not pick up after their dogs which is horrible and the grass is full of dog poop. These people ruin Sutton Park so please beware as it's not only dirty but these people are extremely...
