Swanshurst Park, a sprawling green oasis nestled within Birmingham's Moseley district, offers a welcome respite from urban clamour. Its vast expanse caters to a diverse range of recreational activities, making it a popular destination for families, fitness enthusiasts, and those seeking a tranquil escape. The park’s crowning jewel is undoubtedly its large, picturesque lake, which provides a stunning backdrop for leisurely strolls and picnics. A well-maintained path encircles the lake, offering accessible routes for walkers and cyclists alike. The abundance of mature trees and well-kept greenery creates a serene atmosphere, fostering a sense of calm and relaxation. For the more active visitor, Swanshurst Park boasts ample open spaces perfect for football, cricket, and other outdoor sports. A dedicated children's play area, equipped with modern play structures, ensures that younger visitors are well entertained. The park also hosts a variety of community events and activities throughout the year, fostering a strong sense of local belonging. While the park's size and popularity can lead to occasional crowding, particularly on weekends, the sheer scale of the space ensures that there's always room to find a quiet corner. The park’s maintenance is generally commendable, with well-kept grounds and clean facilities. However, some areas could benefit from further investment in infrastructure. Overall, Swanshurst Park is a valuable community asset, offering a diverse range of recreational opportunities within a beautiful...

This was a lovely park - many years ago when the council still gave a toss about public spaces. Now, it's one square mile of empty cans and bottles, discarded fast food containers from those too lazy to find a bin. That being said, there are far too few bins so they're always full and the crows love scattering the contents around, scavenging for scraps. Then there are the ignorant fools who insist on feeding the wildfowl despite the notices stating how this is not there diet. People seem to want to scatter their leftovers around the pond... Leaving the bags as well! At least the rats are thriving...

Such a nice local park! This park is so nice I wish I could own it. With spaces for a picnic, a playground, dog walks and nature hunts. It has a lake with swans and duck and I love seeing their chick's at spring time. The front of the park is a grass open field, amazing for running and picnic areas. This park is very clean and you won't find any dog droppings on the floor. I would recommend going near the edge of the playground for a picnic as their are people walking their dogs, running and playing football. What...

I have never seen so much rubbish in a park in the UK. The place is full of litter, and it looks like the local authority is not taking care of it at all. The lake is in a terrible state, more like a swamp than something you’d want to enjoy. It’s really disappointing, and a shame because this park could be beautiful if it were maintained properly. The council should enforce strict fines for people who litter and take responsibility for keeping the park and lake clean. At the moment, it’s not worth visiting.

Grew up in the area, love this place. Such a shame when I think back to how the park was and look at the state of it now. Please take your rubbish home with you, the bin don't get emptied regularly enough for the amount of people that visit. I don't want to moan about "when I was a lad" but if you want a nice area to visit by your home you must do so responsibly, keep your rubbish with you please.
