My review is as a parent to young children. The pool itself is fine but you have to carry your clothes quite a way to the lockers from the large family changing cubicles which is a task in itself when you also have a baby and toddler to carry. My toddler always slips over whilst walking from cubicles to pool yet doesn't at other pools.

It's not the cleanest of pools which surprises me when there's always a couple of life guards about.

My child used to go to the baby then toddler swimming classes but I found that when x reached 2 and moved up a class, there was no structure and x stopped progressing. X was bored and started hating swimming and no wonder as they did the same thing week in week out. The ladies are lovely that take the class but if Maria isn't there, the younger girls seem unable t get the kids t do much at all and X was often left playing. Expensive play session at £5.50 for half hour. Since changing to water babies I cannot believe the difference. X loves going, learns something new every week and is actually swimming. Yes it's £15 a session but X has learnt more in 3 weeks at wats babies than 30 weeks at the leisure centre; no exaggeration. The other issue with dragon toddler class was they never put x up to the next class unless you asked. I was in the baby class when I realised he should've started the toddler classes but thought they moved you up automatically but you actually have to ask. X was jumping in the water off a float without fear in the baby class but wouldn't put out head under at all after a few weeks in toddler class When x got a certificate for reaching a certain stage it was blank; unsigned, undated and yo had to write your child's name on it. Talk about sloppy lazy service. Who the hell is the manager? Is it any wonder we are losing our community services! Oh and you have to pay £3 for the certificate. What a cheek.

The cafe was also filthy when I last went there...

I use this pool when visiting family - I live out of the county. But to be honest, I do not look forward to using this pool at all.

First off, car parking is great and the staff are lovely. The pool is large, full length and the perfect temperature for exercising. But my reasons for 2*s relates to the facilities. The pool has the potential to be excellent. But it is let down by poor maintenance and ill considered practices.

The cleanliness is questionable - often debris, dirt etc. is left for several days. Soap dispensers in toilets remain empty.

The poor maintenance manifests itself with broken showers, dodgy shower hoses, taped up taps (I actually cut my finger on a tap which was so old, the chrome coating had split and formed sharp edges).

A major downfall that spoils the potentially good swimming pool is the rough waves. I am fortunate to swim in pools (casually) all over the world, but this is bar far the roughest. This issue means it's difficult to take a breath without taking on water (even choking and potentially a hygiene hazard?). I see that the lane dividers are nothing more than ropes, with very few (in any) wave reducing floats. Frustratingly, poolside, there is a roll of full wave reducing lane dividers, which are totally unused.

At the far end of the pool, the end wall rises around 2 ½ feet above the water line, meaning the is nowhere to grab to make a turn (if you aren't unto tumble turns, like me). Part of that wall has a grab bar, but the majority does not, yet I see unused grab bars stacked up and dormant.

I beg the staff/management to make some really simple changes to make this pool jump quickly to...

Horride, horrid, horrid company!! I have emails from this company threatening me if I don’t provide documents which they were already given!! I used their online call back service but they never called!!! I re-submitted documents but the birth certicates were rejected!!! Swimming they put stupid rules and restrictions leaving very little for me and the kids to do in the pool.. plus they charge a small fortune!! Plus plus you are so restricted on when you can do a public swim due to them using the WHOLE pool for swimming lessons! Clever company buy all swimming company’s out so you have no choice but to...
